The moment the hood came off, the whole cafeteria froze. Every sound, every laugh, every whisper—gone. Even the air felt still. And I knew that voice. I knew it before I even saw his face. It was him. The number ten rugby player. The one everyone had been talking about since the match. The mysterious guy who stole the spotlight from Scott McCall. Felix Carper. My stomach dropped. He looked different up close—taller, sharper, and calmer than I remembered. His eyes met mine, steady and unreadable, and that same calm voice spoke again. “Hey, Sienna.” My heart skipped. Everyone turned toward us now, eyes wide. Phones were already out, cameras flashing. I could hear whispers flying across the room. “Is that the guy from the match?” “No way! He’s talking to Sienna?” “What’s going on?”
