“Trying to erase the public’s memory of the first Luna of Sunlight Ridge to make way for the second.” Cyric tilted his chin at Thessaly. “I wonder who the lucky lady is. She has to be someone special to make you so devoted.”
Calden was too smart not to sense the sarcasm in Cyric’s words. His brows furrowed. He disliked others prying into his personal affairs, especially considering the ongoing rumors involving Cyric and Zarelle.
Was that why Cyric was defending Zarelle?
Before Calden could speak, Thessaly seized the chance to introduce herself. “My name’s Thessaly. You might not have seen me around before because I grew up abroad. My uncle is the chairman of Fortuna Capital Solutions.”
Cyric nodded politely. “I see.”
“Do you and my uncle know each other?”
