CHAPTER LXXIV : FLYING WITH THE LEGENDARY BEASTS

            “We’ve done it…” I said as we all get to the man who told us our task. He’s sitting on a stone probably waiting for us. He immediately turned to us as he heard my voice and automatically smiled.

            “You did it fast…” he said as he stood up to meet us. We walked towards us and stopped as we got nearer each other. He raised his hand and showed the diamond shard as a token of completion. I quickly out up my hand to receive it, the diamond shard transferred to my hand.

            “That was quite difficult, but good thing we managed to do it” Ashtan said smilingly proud of himself saving the entire island from destruction

            “Also, another goo thing is having a smart tam mate who’s able to think of things despite the pressure…” I said pertaining to Dafrosa who smiled shyly and fixed her hair

            “Yea, I saw what happened… and you guys were so incredible, no wonder why you were all chosen to be the heroes. Keep up the good work” the man said parising us with our success

            “Time to go for the next challenge, we’ve got no time to lose” Sohel said interrupting us from chatting as he walked towards the carriage so that we could take off and head to our next destination

            “Wait a minute…” the man said stopping us from going as he pointed something from the trees. We all looked at it and saw a sherdal approaching our direction. What is it doing? It continued to wak towards us and stopped as he got nears us.

            “What’s wrong? Is there something else we can do for you?” Cymone asked as he went near it, we all went near it so that we’ll know what’s bothering this creature.

            The creature stood almost three-fourth of my height. Its smooth and shiny fur is colored white with a touch of golden prints all over it. Its mane looked more shinier than that of its fur, it got golden armor on its chest and shoulders, forehead, and its feet. Its wings are large and beautiful. Over all, the sherdal looked magnificent.

            “I wanted to go with you… take me to your journey, I could be of great help. Just please give me the chance” it spoke answering Cymone’s question and walked towards Ashtan

            “What?” Ashtan asked out of curiosity as the Sherdal stood in front of him

            “I was so amazed with how you fought to help us. You were the fastest thunder person that I saw, and I always wished to meet someone like you… if you could please?” the sherdal sat in front of him reaching his hand and placed it on his head “Let me travel and save the whole world with you” it added

            “Ok… wow” Ashtan said unbelievingly as he stared at the Sherdal “I would love to have you in our team, I think you’ll do a great job helping us” he added as he caressed its head

            “That’s amazing!” the sherdal said as it opened its wings wide open and jumped out of excitement.

            “Seems like the sherdal likes you a lot, you should take it with you… it’s not usual for sherdals to befriend humans, and you’re a lucky person to have one…” the man said smiling at Ashtan

            “Oh really? Aww, I like you too” Ashtan said as he smiled at the sherdal in front of him “What’s your name?” he asked

            “Name? I don’t have a name… what would you want to name me?” the sherdal said looking intently at Ashtan as he started thinking what to name it

            “If that’s the case then… I’m going to name you Blessun” Ashtan said as he pats the sherdals head

            “Blessun? That sounds cool! I love it, from now on I’m Blesson” the sherdal said happily

            “That’s great… now let’s go” I said as we all rode the carriage

            “Ride with me Ashtan” the sherdal said as it bowed down to allow Ashtan to ride on his back… wait, I have an idea…

            “You go ride with it Ashtan, I’m giving you the task to be the captain… lead the way and we’ll follow you” I said as I handed him the maps and the compass that he’ll be using to navigate

            “Are you sure?” he asked as he slowly went to me and grabbed the maps and the compass on my hand

            “Yea… you’ll do great with the sherdal” I said as we all hopped on the vehicle as Cymone started making the winged horses fly above. Ashtan rode his sherdal and flew with us.

            “Ok Cy… just follow me” he said and flew above moving forward to our next destination. As I have remembered, we’re heading to the Earth Kingdom, and Dafrosa would be so happy to know that.

            “So our next challenge is in Earth Kingdom…” I told them while sitting on the chair

            “Really?” Dafrosa asked in shock and in excitement as she heard what I said “Is that true?” she asked again

            “Yes… I saw it in the map, it’s in the Earth Kingdom, in the bottom part… I don’t know what’s in there, I haven’t read the description clipped on the map” I said shaking my head as I mentioned that I haven’t read further since I already gave it to Ashtan

            “Wait… you mean at the southern part of Earth Kingdom?” she asked unbelievingly as if I’m playing a trick on her

            “Yea, I’m so sure it’s there… why?” I said as I looked intently at her

            “It’s the deadly Mazabradas Cliff… do they really want us to go there?” she said shaking her head as she mentioned that Maza--- so on cliff. And by the way she described it as deadly, I felt chills down through my spine. When she said deadly, did she mean as deadly as in dead?

            “The deadly, what!?” Joriz asked as he looked at Dafrosa with big eyes

            “Yes, at the bottom of the Earth Kingdom, there’s a cliff before the ocean, it’s between the State of the Earth Metals and the Toxin domain… these cliffs are so steep, I have never gone there, they said it’s too dangerous” she explained telling it to us

            “Yea, I heard about that” Joriz said as he started thinking about it

            “The rocks are slippery as algae started to grow there due to the constant hitting of water to the rocks. The wind blows harshly in that place, and once one falls into the sea, they never came back, the water current is so strong that it can carry you deep into the water…” Dafrosa told us about the place

            “Oh my gosh, I somehow feel nervous and afraid about this place… it seemed so dangerous” Sohel said commenting to it

            “It really is so dangerous, we were all forbidden to go to that pace, that’s why I don’t understand as to why we were given this task as our challenge when it’s so clear that it could kill us all” Dafrosa spoke once more about this said cliff, and I myself feels afraid going there, but it’s our task

            “The Ordo king wouldn’t give this to us if he knows we’d die in there, I know he believes that we could make it if we do it all together” I said trying to comfort them and motivating them  

            “You’re right… Astral is here, she can help us withstand those harsh wind currents… you can help us since you know the place and you’re a Dimian” Thresh said agreeing with me. We just need to have a positive mind in order to overcome each challenge we may face.

            “And we still don’t know what challenge they’d be giving us, what if they would just ask us to make barriers to keep people from going there… right?” Astral cut herself in as she metioned that we don’t know what challenge we’ll have yet

            “Hey, look everyone!” We heard Cymone calling us “Come here!” he said as we all looked outside the window. We saw Ashtan flying with his Sherdal beautifully looks like they’re enjoying their flight

            “What’s with Ashtan and Blessun?” I asked as I looked at Cymone as to why he called us for this

            “No not that… look who Ashtan is flying with…” Cymone answered me that made us all looked at them again. As soon as the clouds disappeared with saw three other flying beast with them, it’s just these beasts were larger and more beautiful… they were Edda, Viggo, and Gorm, those creatures we saw ascending to the skies a while ago

            “Woah! I can’t believe I’m seeing this…” I heard Sohel speaking as we all looked at how Ashtan and Blessun flew with the three of them. Though they don’t have any wings, but these heavenly creatures can fly in the air. This so amazing.

            “Me neither… but it is happening now! This doesn’t usually happen all the time!” Astral said in awe “Let’s all go outside with them…” she added as she opened the door and used her power to let air hold her as if she’s flying “Come on, you guys!” she said calling us

            “You guys go, I’ll stay here” Cymone said as he showed us the ropes he’s holding implying us his task

            “No, I’ll handle it, come one don’t miss this out” Astral said convincing Cymone to go with us “Quick!” we all went out and jump in the air, we surprisingly float in the air as if something is holding us preventing us to fall. The carriage also went fine though there was no one driving it.

            We all flew with the three beasts and oh my… they surely are large beasts. Edda came to us and took us on her back. Through that, Astral didn’t have to use her powers to hold us anymore. We enjoyed flying with these Guardians as we played with them. This challenge just feels so amazing, there were things happening that are so unexpected.

            There were things that seems so unreal but real. I’m so glad I’ve been part of this.

            Viggo suddenly roared so loud and struck a lightning ahead of us. As we got near it, the surrounding went so bright that I can’t see what’s happening. As I opened my eyes I see land below us, the three of them landed and put us down.

            “We’re here already…” Ashtan said as he looked at the map

            “That was fast… we’re like a couple of hours early…” I said unbelievingly. I tried to rob my eyes to make sure that I am not having an illusion or something. This must be the effect of too much light

            “We really are here!” Dafrosa said “Pinch me if I’m dreaming, I must have fainted due to that light” she added, Astral pinched her in the shoulder “Ouch! Why did you do that!?” she shrieked in pain

            “As you said…” Astral said shrugging off her shoulder

            “So it’s true, we’re here already…” I said agreeing with them

            “That’s where the cliff is, don’t get there further, the winds might carry you away…” Dafrosa warned us, we’re a bit far from it, since I saw how strong the wind is. The trees and grasses were dancing with the wind, if it weren’t rooted on the ground then they could have been gone a long time ago.

            Gorm, Viggo, and Edda suddenly disappeared as a thunderbolt came to the ground and caused so much light same with how Viggo brought us here. As the light disappeared, the three of them were already gone. We just looked around to look for the quest maker and talk with him so that we could proceed with our challenge.

            We found him lying down on a tree far from the edge of the cliff, and he seemed like he’d fallen asleep while waiting for us. And by the way, these men looked like each other as if they’re one person, I wonder who they are and how they’re related. We walked towards him to start our challenge already.
