Chapter 4: Comeback

"My beloved king?" I was roused from my deep slumber by one of the troops, who informed me that I was now being roused. That is the one thing it will tell me, and I have no idea whether it is doing so on purpose or not. The only thing I hope is that he is aware of the fact that I am still in the middle of my slumber here in the kingdom. Is this truly how they regard the leader now that Queen Alala and I are no longer together?

"Doesn't he seem to be responding?" One of the usual voices came over the intercom. I immediately stand up on my precious bed as I heard that voice.

"Not at this time." I was able to hear the response.

"Please step away," it said, and then I heard a huge explosion from outside of my clam.

"Please step aside," it repeated again. I sprang to my tail to open it right away.

When I looked up and saw the Queen, my eyes simply expanded even more. How did she come back here in the first place? I was certain that she had disappeared into the dark realm and would never return.

'Tst! How pathetic you are Varun. Of course, she was the well-known Queen Alala.' I said to myself.

"Can you tell me why you look like you saw a ghost?" she said when she met me inside the shell. I looked at her with my whole attention; there was not a single scar on her entire body, not even on her tail, and there was nothing wrong with her or anything. Unbelievable!

Isn't Crypt just deceiving me here?

"Can you tell me what you're doing in my territory?" It's an insult to my intelligence to ask me that kind of question. Of course, I am the King, how could I don't have the right to be here?

As a result, since Crypt informed me that it would be traveling to the dark dimension, I was apprehensive about traveling here to the kingdom. My goodness, is Crypt just lied towards me?

"Is it a terrible idea to come to our region to do business? Isn't it true that we're married? Don't you dare pretend that you forgot about it as well?" I informed her and give her questions too.

"Varun, I'm not going to forget what happened. I just wish you had waited for me to return to my room before going to sleep in with your filthy body." She murmured something to me and then shrugged as she moved away from me to face the other direction.

"Wait, is this your room? Perhaps our bedroom. It's important to remember that, I understand you're upset with me, but don't forget that we're married. I am the King of Aquaria, and you are the Queen of Aquaria." I respond to her. She spun around once more so that she could view my whole body, then she peered at me from every angle.

"King? Varun, no king would ever seek to kill the Queen and then abandon her for nothing. We are both aware of what occurred " she explained with a grin smile after that.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about, I don't even know it." I respond to her. Isn't it possible that her memory has returned?

This creature responded to me with "All right, you said so," and then swam away in front of me.

"Excuse me, King? I'd want to ask you a question." Says the soldier who had been staring at us.

"You're just wondering why don't you simply go, right?" As I have said. The soldier, on the other hand, does not believe that he can ask questions that is why I smile at him to make him comfortable. This is the power of the King, being approachable to everyone.

"Can you tell me whether this is the explanation for the temporary absence of the lovely Queen?" the creature inquired on me.

Rewind a little bit...

"Can you tell me what you're doing here, Pirana?" In that location, I overheard Alala say something to Pirana.

"Do you think it's inappropriate for me to come here, Dear Queen, and accompany you to your last destination?" Pirana said, swearing. I had intended to go to them both in order to thwart any plot by Pirana against her, but I was taken aback when Alala suddenly took her sword from her scabbard.

As Alala put it, "Perhaps the ultimate destination of Queen Pirana will be transported to the final destination." The Queen is a fierce fighter who will never be vanquished by anybody who seeks to assassinate her or capture her.

"Remember, I know you're aware that Varun deceived you," I overheard Pirana say something. Because of this, my pupils dilated as I wondered whether she had intended to reveal everything, even our strategy, and secrets together.

"I'm aware of the situation. But I'm not like you, Pirana, and I'm not willing to degrade myself in order to have the guy owned by someone else." Alala addressed Pirana in this way.

I was aware of what Pirana was about to do to Alala, and she was the one who arrived first. When Alala attacked in an instant, I noticed Pirana's bloodied expression. In the nick of time, I saw that Pirana had no real opponent against Alala, so I offered my assistance when Alala turned around and I hurled the large rock in her direction. I was successful in accomplishing my goal.

Queen Alala's body spewed out, and she lost consciousness as a result of it. Pirana, on the other hand, has turned in my direction and is swimming towards me.

"I was under the impression you would leave me alone with the Queen, my love," she told me.

I kissed Queen Pirana's soiled face and then grabbed her tight in my arms.

"I'll never be able to abandon you to that Queen," I informed her.

The flashback has come to an end...

Queen Alala had been absent for a few days after that incident occurred, and I was certain she had perished on the spot, but she had not died.

She made her way back to the kingdom. I'm covered with scars and have no recollection of what occurred. However, on her, she doesn't have anything on her body not even a single scar. I never approached her about it since I was certain that she had not seen me confessing my a******y to her.

Queen Alala, on the other hand, became even more terrifying. She is no longer the Alala that I am familiar with. She kills everyone who comes into contact with her in the Aquaria region. With the new Queen Alala that I've seen, this is no longer the Queen Alala that allowed me to bear my betrayal in the first place.

"My beloved king?" I could hear the soldier's justification for bringing me back to reality.

"No," I said. That is something I categorically refute. I'm certain that Pirana will not fire me as a result of my actions.

"Is what you've said correct, my king? Then why does Queen Pirana have to go into hiding in order to be able to access your room?" Once again, call it into doubt. I took my time to consider his question before responding.

"You don't want to end up losing your life, am I correct?" I threatened him with a variety of options.

This is its response: "I don't want to, my King."

"Therefore, if you don't want your family and yourself to be wiped out of Aquaria, simply shut up and keep your mouth shut," I spoke something here, and then I closed the clamshell.

What I don't understand is why they insist to try my anger management problem at such an early hour. My gosh, don't they have any common courtesy?
