Garry's point of view:
As I mingled with the guests at my birthday party, my mind was consumed by thoughts of Sarah. She looked absolutely stunning when she arrived, wearing a beautiful dress and a touch of makeup. It was the first time I had seen her wearing makeup, and I was captivated by her red lips, fair complexion, and brown eyes. She resembled an angel, a breathtakingly beautiful one.
I made it a point to welcome Sarah and her friends, but I longed to spend every moment with her, to kiss her until she couldn't catch her breath. However, I had numerous guests to attend to, including important clients and business partners. Reluctantly, I had to leave Sarah to enjoy the party on her own, as I busied myself with the responsibilities of hosting.
After greeting nearly everyone and ensuring that everything was in order, I finally had the chance to cut my birthday cake. I was showered with well wishes from family friends and influential clients alike. Amidst the festivities, I noticed Sarah standing alone in a corner while others danced. I seized the opportunity and approached her, inviting her to dance. To my surprise, she agreed without hesitation, bypassing the need for any convincing. I was prepared to sway her with words, but she readily joined me on the dance floor.
As we danced, I placed my hands on her waist, and she rested hers on my shoulder. Her hands were soft, delicate, resembling those of a baby. She looked magnificent, and I struggled to remove my gaze from her. I wanted to appear composed, to play it cool until she herself begged me to be with her, but she was driving me crazy that night. Although she was inexperienced at dancing and stepped on my shoes a few times, it didn't bother me at all. Her apologetic expression made me grin, assuring her that it was alright, and I was perfectly fine with it.
We moved together gracefully, but as the music changed to a more romantic tune, I sensed a hint of nervousness in Sarah's demeanor. To comfort her, I pulled her closer until we were mere inches apart. Our lips were tantalizingly close, and her brown eyes locked onto mine. At that moment, I lost control. Leaning down to kiss her, I could sense her reciprocation. However, to my surprise, she suddenly ran outside. I called out to her, but she didn't turn back. She continued running until she disappeared from view.
Conflicting emotions overwhelmed me. On one hand, I desired to make her yearn for me, to have her beg me to love her and be with her. On the other hand, I found myself genuinely attracted to her, feeling as if I were falling for her. But the thought of falling in love frightened me because I believed I was incapable of truly loving someone. I knew that one day she would no longer be with me, and I would be left in eternal pain.
Whenever she is by my side, all I want is for her to stay with me. I feel jealousy burning within me when I see her with someone else. I am consumed by the desire to pull her into my bed, to passionately kiss her from her lips down to her very core. I yearn to taste her and make love to her until she is unable to move. The mere thought of her arouses me, causing my masculinity to stir.
Lost in my thoughts, I was abruptly pulled back to reality when I realized the music had transitioned to a different genre. I contemplated going after Sarah, but I decided she might need some space. So, I dismissed the thought for the time being.
Sarah's point of view:
Sitting on a bench, I found solace in the beauty of nature surrounding me. It was a starry night, with countless stars sparkling in the sky. The tranquility of the garden, adorned with an array of flowers, filled the air with their captivating fragrance. I yearned for personal space, not yet ready to open my heart to love. Although I felt a certain attraction towards Garry, there was a brief moment when I desired him. However, I couldn't bring myself to act on those feelings. I had always kept my distance from others and remained emotionally detached. But when I was with Garry, I felt like a different person, which left me perplexed and confused. My heart fluttered every time I saw him, yet my rational mind warned me that he might be different, perhaps even dangerous. Lost in contemplation, I was startled when someone sat down next to me.
Stranger: "What are you doing here?"
A rather intoxicated-looking individual asked me, introducing himself as Shane, a friend of Garry's. I responded casually, mentioning that I had come outside to enjoy some fresh air. Unfortunately, Shane's inebriation made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy. Sensing my discomfort, I attempted to leave, but he placed his hands on my shoulders. I despised such individuals who lacked self-control after consuming alcohol.
Sarah: "Shane, please, mind your own business and let me go."
I gritted my teeth, irritated by his actions.
Shane: "You can't leave just yet. I'm not finished with you."
He stood up, grabbing my wrist with one hand, while his other hand ventured down my body.
Sarah: "What do you think you're doing? Have you lost your mind? Let me go!"
I shouted as loudly as I could, hoping someone would hear and come to my aid. Shane responded callously, insisting that no one would come to help me, even encouraging me to shout as much as I wanted. Terrified, I screamed for help once again, but he silenced me, slapping me so hard that I fell to the ground, blood filling my mouth. Trembling with fear, I found myself defenseless as he climbed on top of me, forcefully undressing me. All hope seemed lost as I struggled against his weight, finding it nearly impossible to escape.
Suddenly, I heard someone shouting, and in an instant, that person forcefully pulled Shane away from me, ruthlessly beating him. Each punch seemed as if it would shatter his bones. It was the same man whom I had tried to ignore—Garry. I rushed toward them, attempting to restrain Garry before he ended up killing Shane. The latter was already bleeding profusely and barely conscious.
Sarah: "That's enough!"
Despite my fear and tears, I managed to pull Garry away from Shane. Garry looked at me with concern, his eyes bloodshot, his hair disheveled, and his knuckles oozing blood. He handed me his coat to cover myself since my dress had been torn.
Sarah: "Yes, I'm okay."
After ensuring my well-being, he embraced me tightly, and I instinctively hugged him back without hesitation. Kenna and Chris came rushing over.
Kenna: "Sarah, where were you? Oh my God!"
She screamed upon witnessing the scene, her eyes instantly comprehending the situation.
Chris and Kenna: "Are you okay, Sarah?"
They both asked, and Kenna embraced me, understanding the gravity of the situation. Shane lay unconscious, bleeding heavily, while Garry stood covered in blood, and my torn clothes were partially concealed by the coat he had offered.
Chris: "Why did you come out alone?"
Chris asked, a tinge of anger in his voice.
Sarah: "I just wanted some fresh air."
Chris: "What the hell, Sarah? You should have asked me or Kenna to accompany you. You shouldn't have come out alone at this hour!"
His anger escalated, but upon noticing my fierce glare, he fell silent.
Sarah: "That's enough."
I said, my annoyance evident in my voice.
Sarah: "Let's forget about it."
Chris: "But..."
Chris began, but my piercing glare stopped him mid-sentence. I glared at him with anger and frustration.
Sarah: "I'm fine, thanks to Garry."
Chris looked at me, then at Garry, and also expressed his gratitude. Afterward, we decided to leave the party and return home. We were all exhausted, and the events of the evening had taken a toll on us. I was still shaken by what had transpired, but I felt a sense of gratitude and safety, knowing that Garry had come to my rescue.
