Felix and I walked into town to visit the café so I could get some more of my novel done. Besides, we both needed a coffee, I was craving a breakfast sandwich, and Lilah’s was always amazing. The best in town, actually, she was smart, business-savvy, and a great cook. It always amazed me how she could come up with some of the meals she has made. “Have you ever had Lilah’s cooking before?” Felix looked over at me as our fingers intertwined. “No, I haven’t. Why can she cook well?” I nodded my head. “Yeah, maybe tonight I can have her come over, and she can help cook dinner. It’s been a while since she and I had dinner together. Besides, it’d help her to get to know the most wonderful man in my life.” I looked up at him with a soft smile. I could see her tanned cheeks flush ever so slight
