Lilah was standing behind the counter, reading a worn-out book as I walked in. Lilah’s eyes lit up with a mischievous spark. I groaned internally. My gaze flickered off to the side before landing back on her.
“So, how did it go yesterday? Did you guys, you know, do the nasty?” She smirked, and her thick eyebrows wiggled above her blue eyes.
I rolled my eyes in return. Damn, she loved to gossip. “I’ll never kiss and tell.”
“Oh, so kissing was involved!” She clapped her hands gleefully.
I shook my head and ordered my usual scone and, unexpectedly, a different herbal tea. One of Lilah’s eyebrows shot up, and she turned quickly to get my tea and scone. I instinctively walked back to my usual table and got straight to work. Words flew onto the screen as my fingers typed at speeds I had never reached before. My pent-up s****l frustration was emitted onto the pages of my newest novel.
I loved the scene that unfolded, the raw s****l tension between my two characters, the characters that I had summoned with my laptop. I wanted this and more to happen between Felix and me. My cheeks flushed as my fingers typed up those thoughts that were fluttering in my mind. I had gotten so lost in the rhythm that I hadn’t noticed the dark eyes watching me from the neighboring table. I also hadn’t noticed Lilah had dropped off the scone and tea I had ordered. My once steaming cup was now lukewarm.
Felix cleared his throat, and I looked back at him, slightly embarrassed about how I missed the tinkling of the bell at the café’s entrance.
“Working hard, I see.”
I closed the laptop. “Yeah. I was in a pretty heated battle with my laptop, huh?”
He chuckled. “Heated, but not in a battle scene, am I right?”
My cheeks were still flushed, and I instinctively looked away. Well, he wasn’t wrong. It wasn’t a battle scene unless you wanted to say it was a battle of who was the top in the bedroom.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed about what you write. A lot of people love the erotic scenes in books, or so I’ve heard. I don’t read much romance.”
“Well, what do you read then?”
“Fantasy., It has always fascinated me, Cece.”
My stomach did flips at the little pet name he’d just given me.
“Interesting. I guess I was imagining mystery would be your favorite. Since you have an enigmatic feel around you.”
“Well, I am full of surprises.”
I watched him as his gaze trailed down to my ample breasts. He slowly licked his lips. He really was full of surprises. I smirked and propped my elbows on the table, gently resting my head in the palm of my hands. My breasts were more visible. A thrill went through me as I watched him twitch with need—need for me, of all people.
A faint blush formed at his neck and quickly spread up to his cheeks. He pulled on his shirt collar. It was almost like he was trying to cool himself off. A small giggle escapes my throat. He looks away and clears his throat.
“If I didn’t know any better, I would think you were ogling me, Felix,” I purred. That was a sound that had never escaped my lips before.
I didn’t even blush. I was feeling empowered now, knowing that he, too, wanted me just as badly as I wanted him. He pushed his hair back and gulped.
“No, no, I just thought I saw something on your… ummm… shoulder was all.” He looked away, his redness deepening on his cheekbones.
“If that’s what you want to call it, then fine, I’ll play along.” I smiled at him, my eyes lit up, and my lips were moist—not the ones on my face. I could tell he wanted to kiss me right there, but he didn’t dare lean in and give in to the temptation. Not this time, at least. I knew he would again, though; those longing eyes combed over me; lust was brewing in this café. Lucky for me, it wasn’t just me admitting it.
The way he looked at me, his stare possessive like he wanted to give in to our primal instincts, sent a shiver through my body. I wanted that too, I craved it deep down to my bones. His lips parted into a grin. I knew what was coming and what he was going to say. As my breathing hitched, he reached out for my chin.
“Do you want to come back to my place?” His husky voice was almost a low growl.
He tipped up my chin so our gazes met. I nod and lean in closer, our lips brush against each other as we both breathe heavily.
He pulled me into the stairwell of his apartment and shut the door. He pins me against the wall with his toned body. His hands gripped my hips hard enough to leave bruises in their wake. His lips crashed into mine. He was kissing me like a starving man.
I kiss him back with equal force. His hips roll sinfully into mine. I moaned as my hands tangled in his neatly kept hair. He groaned into the kiss as I tugged on his silky locks.
“Let’s get up these stairs, shall we?” He whispered against the shell of my ear.
I nod as we bound up the stairs. When we reach the door, he opens it as he kisses me again. He walks me back into his apartment. Our lips were still locked in a kiss. He kicks the door shut.
He scoops me up, and my legs wrap around his waist as he carries me to his bedroom. He tosses me onto his bed. I let out a surprised yelp. In a flash, his body was hovering over me. He peppered my face with gentle kisses at first, but they soon turned to kisses with nips from his teeth and licks followed to soothe the sting.
He smelled of saltwater and the sun. He beamed down at me, where I lay back on his sheets. What was I getting myself into? His lips crashed into mine. His touch wasn’t gentle, but I didn’t want gentle. Not this time. His hands grabbed at my hips, stripping off my jeans. I whimpered as the cool air from the open window hit my bare hips.
“Not wearing panties, huh?” He smirked and nipped at my inner thigh. His teeth seemed unusually sharp, almost animalistic. Another whimper escaped from my lips. What was I getting myself into? I barely knew this man, but my whole body hummed with need for him.”
His tongue trailed up and down my inner thigh before he settled on my sweet spot. My hips thrust into his mouth, making him moan. He sucked my c**t between his teeth, sucking on the swollen bud. I moaned louder from the sensitivity. His tongue brushed up against the soft walls as they fluttered around the invading appendage.
His fingers quickly replaced his tongue as his body hovered back over me so he could go back to kissing me again. I could taste myself, taste how sweet I was. His fingers worked me harder and rougher until I was shaking from my orgasm. I whimpered and shook as he held me tightly against his chest. His muscles rippled under my shaking hands. I wanted his c**k. I needed it.
He smirked. “I know what you want. But darling, you’ve already come too close to the abyss that is my soul.” With that, he stood up, sucking off his fingers. “You probably should get back home. I have business to attend to.”
I looked up at him, and my brows knitted together as I opened my mouth to protest. No words came out as I was fumbling with what I wanted to say. How I wanted to convey my emotions. His gaze locked with mine.
“I don’t understand, you made it feel like… we had something! Don’t you feel like there’s this weird pull between us? Like the universe seemed to want us to crash into each other?”
“I do, but it’s much more complicated than that. Please trust that I want to. I want to have rough and passionate s*x with you, but only when the time is right, understood?”
I nodded solemnly. I wasn’t ready to go, but I knew I shouldn’t overstay my welcome. Also, doesn’t look like I’ll change his mind at this point.
