By the time I’m able to leave for the day and head back to Duncan’s, the small pressure behind my temples has turned into a throbbing pain. All I want to do is curl up with Chloe on the couch and let her presence settle me down. I know I need tell her and Duncan everything, though, and I’m really not looking forward to that. Chloe, I’m sure, will understand, but Duncan can be a stubborn bastard and he’d love nothing more than to give me a hard time.
