The security guards dragged Harvey and Tara out like dead weight. The screams, the curses, the desperate pleas echoed through the hallway before gradually fading into silence. I closed the door. And at last, the world was quiet. Slowly, I cleaned up the mess Harvey had made. I straightened the furniture, picked up the scattered belongings, and carefully wiped down the old photograph of me and his father. In the picture, my husband was smiling. Back then, we were happy. I gently touched the frame. "Do you see him now? Our son finally made something of himself. So successful that he doesn't even want his own mother anymore." The next morning, the internet exploded. A post titled "How My Son Making Five Figures Drove Me to the Breaking Point" spread across social media like wildfire.
