Quinn POV
The electric makes a journey in my spine, shiver my fiber when a scolding torrent of rage looked at me, liked they might pop up anytime. A gulp tastes my throat when I reach them, stop in front of Aiden and try to lift my lips for a timid smile. In our silence, only he and I can detect the nagging that burning inside.
I didn’t expect him to be here since it’s almost half an hour when we arrived in the place. Aron told me they were having car racing once again, one of my favorite sport and thinking he will be here is the main reason why I come. My brother doesn’t mind if I join sometimes especially on this kind of occasion.
Some of their buddies bring their girlfriend, leaving me not to be the only girl in the troop. When I check my watch, I realize that he might not come, so I decide to enjoy by myself and grab Caleb for a race. But staring on his boiling sphere now, I’m not sure if he appreciates my talent.
“H… hi.” I greet him with my tongue becoming short.
The lips I love to kiss remain sealed, raise the bottle he is holding, press the opening in his mouth and drink on it. That is his answer that leads me to bite my lower lip, panic on what I did wrong this time that construct for him to hate me. His coal eyes dive to Caleb who’s taking one beer that Boris is forwarding.
“Hey, dude, glad that you came,” Caleb speak and toast his beer to Aiden bottle.
“Yeah,” he replies and nods, “glad that I did.”
His last word was pronounced with deep, hitting it to me in silence. The coldness is making me nervous, his violent glance eating my heart. The fact that I don’t know what makes him angry exploding my mind from thinking the reason and the organ beating inside my cage start to break my chest.
“I’ll… just take some food,” I said to avoid his fury.
My feet rashly step out, leave them while filling my lungs with some air. It suffocates me, the fire, the crimson face, dark look, that I’m getting crazy guessing what I did wrong, what’s my mistake? With my hand sweating in tense, I take a small plate, grab a fork and ready to poke in the watermelon when a hard frame rams at my back.
A plate that almost fell in my hand as I tremble in surprise is gradually caught by my Wolf, support it as he lay his hand over mine. I know it was him for my favorite scent soak in my nose, tingle my nerves, excite my soul.
“Go home.” He whispers.
Standing on my side, he takes the plate in my hand. My head rises and glances on him with my eyes questioning.
“Aiden…” I mumble, eager to know what’s the problem for it’s giving me a headache in squeezing my brain to find some answer.
“I said go home,” he speaks in a curt voice, digs his dilating pupils on me, “now!”
My body shiver, muscles stretching tight for I know I’m making him upset too much. In a speed like a tornado, I walk to the chair near the table, grab my stuff and wave to Aron.
“I… need to go, dad is waiting for me.” I stammer as I hang my body bag in my frame.
“Ha? But I still want to race with you, Quinn.” Caleb interrupts, stand and about to come near me.
“Maybe next time.”
Without waiting for them to allow me, I run in the exit, fast, like my life depends on my speed.

My sigh breaks the silence and makes Emma’s hand rub on my back.
“Is he still not replying?” She asks.
My head nods while closing my locker. Small clear water still dropping in our hair for we just finished our swimming class. Taking my backpack, I hook it over my shoulder while Emma keeps her Tote hanging bag. Most ladies on the school used the same as her but I found it more comfortable having this kind of stuff.
“I’m worried, his silence is killing me,” I admit.
“Don’t think too much, Quinn, only two days passed.” Emma comforts me.
“And that’s the problem, what time is it now? It’s 6:30 in the afternoon, Emma. After a few hours, it will be three days.”
Eyes begin to water. My emotion is consuming me because my brother and father were fighting last night and now Aiden is not keeping in touch with me after the race incident. My mind is blowing, a deep inhale is what I reward in my dying cage as we passed by to our school security guard. Some students are going home the same as us while the other is running inside, attending a night class.
“Just relax, Quinn. Maybe he’s not yet done reading your one hundred messages.” She said.
My lips pouted on her jokes before I turn my head on her while we are walking towards the parking lot. Her giggle follows, makes my fingers pinned her hips flesh and cover our spot with our booming laugh. The sudden beep of my Mobile stops us. I slide my hand on my pocket, takes my iPhone to check the text.
Wolf: Tell your driver to leave. I’m on the left corner, same spot.
“Oh my god!” Emma screams.
My hand gradually pats her to keep her mouth shut with my eyes glittering in triumph, skin blush in elate while we both stop in our path. Dialing my driver number, I press the mobile in my ear while Emma and I are holding one hand and shaking our body like someone is tickling us, electrified.
“Hello, Peter. I need to finish some projects with Emma. You can go ahead, they will take me home.” I speak.
“You f*****g need to update me later for your using me again,” Emma whispers on my other ear.
Eyes widen, I hit her butt to stop her from disturbing me while the edge of our lips is ripping our blossoming cheeks.
