Trinity's Love

Personal Mission

Trinity opened the door to her office, "Alright I’m going to start searching for any information I may have in the previous files we received." Trinity announced.

Allison followed behind Trinity shouting over her shoulder, "Okay, we need to learn anything and everything about Cale Livingston."

Trinity sat down at her desk opening up the computer, "Allison and I will look in the Police files on the computers, Rob and Jack you look in the newspapers and look through the files in the green room."

Rob pushed off the doorway to head to the opposite side of the office, "Alright, Jack let's get to the green room and leave the girls to there research." Rob said while leaving the room.

Trinity looked up from her computer, "Wait, Rob, maybe Ally should go with you and Jack stay here."

Allison looked up from the files she was searching, "Um why?"

Trinity held up her hand to stop Jackson from talking, "No Jack it's not because I just want to spend time with you.” She laughed when she saw the pout on his face, “Alison has telepathy, so she can tell me if she finds anything."

Allison nodded and switch places with Jackson, "Okay, I’ll tell you when I get something okay." She closed the door behind her.

Searching the computer she still had nothing to show for her 3 hours of staring at the computer. She rubbed her eyes to try and focus her blurry eyes. She heard a huff beside her.

"Find anything yet sis?"

She looked up to find Jackson's hair in tuffs, he must have been pulling at his hair for the last hour or in frustration, she sighed, "Nope."

"Has Allison found anything yet?"

"Nope," just as she got the words out Allison pierced into her mind.

 ‘I think I found something.’ Allison said into her mind.

Trinity smiled, ‘Okay what is it?’

‘Well, it seems our little friend did this in the 1920s.’

‘Interesting.’

‘Yeah, well his victims were shape-shifters, but they weren't leopards. He actually killed cougars and jaguars.’

‘Well, he seems to be after cats.’

‘That's what I thought but after that, he went into hiding for years, then he came back in the 1990s and killed wolves, then came back 10 years later and killed bird shape-shifters. In all of these attempts, he killed hundreds almost leaving them extinct.’

“Well, we're dealing with a guy who wants to have g******e against shape-shifters” came out of Trinity’s mouth and also thorough her mind.

"What?" Jack questioned with worried eyes.

Trinity shook her head, “Just a sec talking to Allison.” Trinity continued talking to Allison, ‘All right Allison you found some great information, You and Rob can come back up here.’

‘Alright be up in a sec.’

Trinity turned to Jackson, "Alright, Jack did you find out what he looks like."

Jackson looked up to her with a smile, "Nope, but I did find out he's an alien. He's from mom's dimension.” His smile fell, “So I called mom and well she knows him. I think I know why he killed all the shape-shifters…" he paused.

"Okay, what did she say," Trinity asked not liking how his smile disappeared. This was not going to be good.

Jackson took a deep breath, "He's trying to find you. He killed all those shape-shifters because he was trying to find you. You're human, alien, and you're a shape-shifter.” He paused then continued, “First of all he doesn't like shape-shifters anyway, but when it comes to you the reason is much deeper. This guy and mom used to be involved. They were supposed to be married, but mom didn't want to be married to him. She visited earth before they got married. Well, when she was on Earth she met a man named John Sullivan."

"Dad?" This was defiantly turning into a mission from hell and it was only getting worse with each thing they found out about this guy.

Jackson nodded, "Yeah they fell in love. She went back to her world and told her father that she wasn’t going to be told who she was going to marry and ran away from her home. She came back to Earth and married dad. Cale found out that she not only rejected him and married a human male, he later found out that she was pregnant. The way otherworlders can get here is through the Vortex, this allows them to go to any time within our world. Most come to the current time but he went too far back in time. While he was here he was still somehow able to keep tabs on mom and heard that mom had a boy and was now pregnant with a girl. On their planet boys are favored  and is a crime to kill the male of any family due to them being the heir to the male line, due to this he was not able to kill the male for his revenge so he planned to kill the female child for his revenge."

Trinity sat in the chair with wide eyes, this was turning it to a personal mission instead of a mission for the bureau. She shook her head still trying to follow Jack and what he was saying.

Jackson paused his explaining until he saw Trinity shake her head and nod at him to continue, he couldn’t imagine what she was thinking. This was supposed to just be another mission but it was quickly turning into a personal mission to stay alive for her. He smiled trying to reassure her, "Mom made you a shape-shifter to help protect you and possibly make it harder for him to track you down. He, of course, found out and started killing all shape-shifters; since he didn't know what time you were in." Both Jackson and Trinity jumped as they heard her door swing open and hit the wall.

“Hey what’s up?” Rob asked walking through the door. He paused as he saw the wide eyes of both Jackson and Trinity. He saw them both relax but Trinity had a look of fear across her face. “Sorry if I scared you guys were you guys talking and didn’t hear me knock?”

"What's goin' on?" Ally asked with concern. She knew a simple door wouldn’t have her friend this rattled.

“We were just discussing what I found. Trin is just trying to process everything. I called the hospital, doctors and the gene centers…" he paused "your records are gone. There's no knowledge of you ever being alive."

They all paused at the news looking around at each other, gaging how the news settled with each person.

"I take it we're not dealing with a normal killer," Rob said quietly.

"I think I'm gonna go home and take a long hot bath." Trinity sighed. Standing up from her desk. She needed to get away and just relax and not think for a few minutes.

Jackson jumped up blocking his sister, "Sis you can't go out there it's dark outside now and he could be out there."

Trinity smiled and patted his cheek, her big brother always the protect one. "I'll be fine Jacky." Trinity sidestepped and with a smile. She had to stay strong right now in front of everyone but if she was being truthful with herself she was scared to death. "I'll just go the long way." With a back glace over her shoulder, she gave her brother a wink as she walked her door around Allison and Rob.

"Please be careful Rinny," Jake said with a weak and sad smile.

Walking out of the station doors Trinity yelled over her shoulder, "I always am." Walking down the steps she hid behind Jack's truck and stripped. One of the many perks…not. Stupid clothes won't stay on my leopard body. She thought to herself. She placed her clothes in his car and turned. Who knew running through the woods would feel so good. I love it; it was the perfect hunting place. She paused sniffing the air. What's that smell?
