"Now Jack!" Trinity quickly grabbed the clothes from the nurse. "Yes ma'ma!" Jack pierced into the nurse's mind like a knife to butter. The nurse's eyes began to glaze over leaving a glossy look. "I got her." In a monotone voice, the nurse began to speak. "I got your clothes, Miss. I will fill out your release forms you are free to go." "Thank you." Trinity tried to get dressed as quickly as she could but she was still sluggish from trying to heal. "I will have your brother sign off for you." Trinity whispered in his ear "Thanks, Jack." He gave a steady nod. She was lifted into the air as she squealed she heard Andrew laugh, "I got you kitten." Andrew carried her out to Jack's truck. They positioned themselves in the bed of the truck. Trinity heard footsteps as he looked into the bed of the truck from the driver's side and smiled, he started the truck and moved around the back end of the truck to the passenger side and slid in through the door, Allison had already slid into the middle when he was starting the truck. Everyone heard a hospital’s front doors slam and then Trinity saw Jack's face as he looked down from the driver’s side, he smiled and slid into the driver's side, put the truck into drive and sped off. Trinity watched as the scenery around them blurred when they finally stopped Andy sat her up and she looked around. They were at Allison and Robert's safe house. Thankfully their daughter was spending some time out of state with her grandparents due to the dangers going on. Trinity had been fighting sleep the whole drive, she wanted to make sure that whatever destination they got to they were safe. She found herself in Andrew’s arms again once they were out of the bed of the truck. The moment she placed her head against his chest the steady beat lulled her to sleep before they entered the house. Andrew looked down and found her sound to sleep, he smiled. She looked like an angel sleeping on a cloud. Her features were soft. He entered the housed finding one of the rooms Allison had pointed in the direction of. He placed on top of the bed not wanting to disturb her by trying to get the blankets out from under her. She re-situated herself and then settled into the bed sighing. Andrew wasn't exactly tired yet, he looked around finding a chair in the corner of the room. He moved the chair to be beside bed. He gently brushed some hair that fell in front of her face, he smiled, "You're gonna be the death of me." Allison popped into the room and whispered, "Hey Andrew here's some extra blankets for you and Trin." Andrew nodded but didn’t look at her, "Thanks." Allison placed the blankets on the dresser then grabbed a chair and sat next to Andrew. "I've never seen her sleep so well in” Allison pondered, “well ever since she was nine." Andrew looked at her in surprise, "Why's that?" Allison sighed, "Did she tell you about her father?" Andrew nodded, "Yes, he was murdered by aliens when she was nine." "Yes, but she didn't tell you anything else?" Alison questioned. "Nope." Andrew’s brows knitted together. Allison scoffed, "Sounds like her. Well, you can't tell her I told you anything if you want to know. She's very secretive about her father." He nodded, "Of course. I Promise." Allison knitted her fingers together, "Alright, where to start? The day he was murdered was the day before her birthday. She was a real tomboy and a daddy's girl. She asked her parents for one thing for her birthday." "And what would that be?" Andrew questioned. "Well, she wanted to be one of the guys. She was always left out because she was a girl or too young. So she asked if she could hang out with her dad and brother all day. So they went and played baseball, basketball, football and stuff like that well her dad decided that for her present they would go to a race. Her favorite were drag races. The race that her father found was, unfortunately, a setup. One of Cale's goons knew about Trin before Cale did so he set the race up so he could kill Trinity…" "How do you know all of this?" "I’ve known the family for a long time. They don’t talk much about it but when they do. I’ve put together multiple stories about what happened and also did a bit of research when I was older." Andrew nodded, “Sorry, continue.” "They went to the racing grounds and found that no one else was there, they just thought they were early. Her dad tended to get times wrong. They went inside and then the alien showed up. Trin and Jack were looking at the souvenirs then they heard a shot ring out. They ran and found their father brutally beaten and in the hands of the alien. The alien had a shot in his leg so their father was able to get a shot out before he died. They saw the alien disappear with a smile on his face as their father bled to death on the ground. They watched their father die. Ever since then Jack's has been overprotective and Trinity has never been able to sleep. If she does it's never long. I think she has nightmares." "Well, that's a lot for a person to handle." Andrew looked at Trinity. Allison nodded, "Yes it is. She’s an extremely strong person though, I’ve always admired that about her." She stood from the chair and placed her hand on Andrew's shoulder, “I’m glad she has someone she feels safe with.” Andrew nodded. He looked back over his shoulder as Allison left the room, “Night.” Allison looked over her shoulder, “Good night.” She closed the door behind her. He sat there staring at Trinity. He couldn’t believe that his mate was this amazing. She was such a strong woman, he did not doubt that she would be able to help him lead his pack. Her hair fell into her face, he gently brushed it away when she grabbed his hand. "Oh sorry, I thought you were asleep." She continued to close her eyes, "Not since I've been here. I just close my eyes to rest them." "So you heard?" She nodded, "Yeah." "Why didn't you tell me?" "It's just a subject I don't like talking about." "I'm sorry." She opened her eyes to look into his. She couldn’t handle the pain in his voice, "It's fine. I've got my mom and my brother and I've got Allison and Robert. I also have you." He smiled, "Yes you do." He gently kissed her on the forehead, "You got room in there for me." "Of course." she slid over letting him in. They lay there. Trinity lay on Andrew's chest. She snuggled in closer, "You know what." "What?" “I think I want to be your mate for real.” Andrew held his breath, “You are my mate for real.” Trinity pulled away from him to look into his eyes, “I mean I want you to mark me. I want to be your mate in all ways not just in name.” Andrew smiled, “I would love that. How about we do it after we Cale?” Trinity nodded and snuggled closer to her mate, “I think that’s a great idea.”
