The Queen

A few weeks later…

Trinity lay on her new bed smiling, she touched the still fresh bite mark on her neck. Andrew had finally marked and spirit linked with her after knowing she was completely healed. She sighed as she looked around, her new place was amazing. She had put in her letter of resignation a week after they killed Cale and put in a letter of recommendation for Rob to become the new head of the Investigation. Andrew was surprised at the time that she had done it since she loved her job so much, but she had told him she had kept him away from his back and company long enough and it was time for her to embrace her new position in his pack. Queen. She shook her head in disbelief, the moment she had arrived everyone bowed to her and called her Queen. It was the position of the Alpha’s mate. She sat up when she heard a knock at the door, “Yes?”

A soft male voice came through the door, “Queen, the Alpha wishes for you to join him in his office.”

She laughed, he had sent his Beta to fetch her. She knew if he had come himself he wouldn’t go back down to work. “I’ll be out in a moment.”

“Yes, my Queen.”

She smiled everyone here welcomed her immediately even after finding out that she wasn’t a pure were-beast. She looked down at her belly and smiled. She could tell she was pregnant, and it took everything in her to make sure Andrew didn’t find out through the link. She wanted to surprise him and she had told the Beta due to needing to tell someone, plus she had wanted his help in the surprise. She dressed quickly and found the Beta waiting for her in the hallway. She smiled up at him, “Good afternoon Bane.”

He bowed, “Good afternoon Queen.”

She followed him down the hallway to Andrew’s office, “You can call me Trinity or even Trin. This Queen stuff is weird.”

Bane laughed, “How about I call you Trin when we are in the Pack House and then when we are amongst the Pack I will call you Queen. Is that a fair compromise?”

Trinity laughed as he opened the office door for her, “I suppose.” He bowed to her and closed the door. She looked over to find Andrew rubbing his eyes as he was going through paperwork for his latest construction job, she watched him still and take a deep breath and then exhale, “Mate.” She laughed as he looked up and smiled, “How are you feeling this morning kitten?”

She sat on the desk positioning herself in front of him, “I’m fine babe. You seem a little stressed.”

He moved closer and sagged against her, “Being out of the office for so long has caused a lot of paperwork to get overlooked and I have to make sure none of the designs for our projects suffered.”

She gently ran her fingers through his hair and heard him purr in satisfaction. She could feel her heart start to beat franticly now that she was here, Bane had told her that now would be the best time to tell him the surprise due to everyone working during the day and it would only be them in the Pack House. She took a deep breath, “I actually have something to tell you.”

Andrew pulled away, “Is everything okay? Is someone in the pack harassing you? I’ll get Bane to handle it immediately.” He was about to yell for his second when she silenced him with a kiss.

She pulled away, “Everything is fine. Also, everyone in the pack is very welcoming and has done nothing to deserve your wrath or even Bane’s.” She took a deep breath, “I…I am…I am really hungry how about you?”

Andrew laughed, “The last time you pulled this card you had a vision about your death. How about you just tell me what you want to say before every horrible thought I could possibly think of comes to mind?”

Trinity sighed, “Right. Well, what I wanted to tell you was that” she paused, “I wanted to tell you that I am,” She took a deep breath and let the words fall out in a rush, “I’m pregnant!” She looked down to see Andrew’s eyes wide and mouth agape.

“Could you repeat that but a little slower this time?”

She smiled, “I’m pregnant.” Her nerves got worse as he continued to stare at her without saying anything. “Are you not happy?” She watched as tears wheeled in his eyes.

“Not happy? Not happy?! I am ecstatic!” He jumped up from his chair and engulfed her in a hug. Trinity laughed as he held her closer, she felt him smile against her neck where her mark was. “I am amazed that I have the most amazing mate and Queen, and not only that she has blessed me with a child.”

“Do you think the pack will be okay with it.”

Andrew pulled away and kissed her on the lips, “They will be just as happy as I am kitten.” Andrew looked up with a knock at the door, “Enter.” Trinity laughed when she saw Bane enter the room and bow.

“I wished to congratulate the Alpha and his Queen on the cub.” Bane looked up and smiled.

Andrew looked down to see Trinity blushing, “How does he know? I don’t believe I was loud enough for the pack to hear?”

“The Queen in her excitement told me and wished for me not to tell you so she could surprise you herself. She wished for a time that no one would be in the Pack House.” Bane laughed when he saw Trinity glare at him, “I do not keep secrets from the Alpha once the secret is out Trin.”

Trinity looked up to see Andrew grinning and she grumbled, “I wanted to tell you the moment I knew but the house is always so crowded and I just wanted it to be a moment between us. The only person I knew that could help me was Bane due to him being you Beta so I told him. I didn’t think he would betray me so quickly though.”

Andrew laughed and looked over to his Beta, “Please arrange a feast tonight so we can celebrate.”  Bane nodded and closed the door behind him. He laughed as she pouted over Bane’s betrayal. He kissed her forehead, “Give it a few more weeks and he will obey your every command. You are his Queen after all and many believe that a Queen’s order supersedes a command by an Alpha.”

Trinity laughed, “Well then my life here will be fun if I get to tell Bane what to do.”

Andrew smiled, “I hope my Beta isn’t the reason your life here is fun?”

Trinity patted his cheek, “It’s only one of the many reasons my life is fun. You would defiantly make top 10.” She turned to run away and Andrew twirled her back around and brought her to his chest with a growl. She laughed, “Okay maybe top 5.” He nuzzled against her mark and she purred, “Fine definitely number 1.”

He growled in satisfaction, “That was the answer I was looking for kitten. I better stay at the top of your list.”
