Chapter 8

"Ky, what is being in heat?"

He looked at me confused and then it was like he understood something that I didn't. 

"Beth you are in heat. That explains why you are feeling this way. It happens after you have been marked by your mate."

"How do I stop it?"

"We have to mate."

"WHAT!" I screamed as another wave of pain hit me. 

"I forgot about this part of the mating process."

"HOW COULD YOU FORGET SOMETHING LIKE THIS!"

"I'm sorry love. You know what we have to do."

"At this point, I don't care. Just f**k me already. Anything to make the pain stop."

He laid me on the bed and I saw his eyes turn dark. He wanted me and I wanted him. Next thing I knew, he was kissing me everywhere. My lips, my marking spot, my chest, my hands, and my stomach. He took his shirt off and I couldn't help but admire his 8-pack. He smirked and then ripped my shirt off.

"You're so beautiful. How did I get so lucky?"

I started to get flashbacks of the guy in the kitchen. Ky could see in my eyes that something was wrong.

I was about to when another wave of pain hit me and I cried out. 

"No, it's okay. Just go slow."

I could feel the pain fading away.

I started running my fingers through his soft dark hair and covered us with a blanket. As we were about to fall asleep together, Lucy burst through my room.

She quickly shut the door behind her but I could see her blushing on her way out. Ky and I just laughed. 

He got and started to get dressed and I covered myself with the blanket and watched. He caught me staring and smirked. 

"Like what you see?" 

"You know I do," I said without thinking and I instantly blushed. Ky starting laughing at me. 

I pouted but then I started to get sad. He noticed the change. 

"Hey, are you okay?" he said walking back toward me. 

I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. 

"Love, what's wrong?" he said as he gathered me in his lap. 

I stuffed my face in the side of his neck. 

"Is everything just going to go back to how it was once you leave this room? Are you going to treat Celeste like a princess and treat me like crap? Are you going to hurt me again or let her hurt me?"

"Oh, baby, no. I am going to break things off with Celeste. She just wanted to be Luna and I know that she has been using me this whole time. You are my mate and you will be my Luna. No one will ever hurt you again. I will make sure of it."

As he finished, I smashed my lips against his and he held me tight. He broke away first. 

"As tempting as this is my love, you need to get dressed and find Lucy. I need to finish up some work."

"Will I see you again today?"

"Yes, darling. Tonight, you will be sleeping in my room with me."
