His Abused Mate

Chapter 4

"Miss you must wake up. Alpha has instructed me to show you around."

I woke up and got ready for the day. Lucy helped me decide on a black pair of skinny jeans, a blue blouse to bring out my eyes, and black flats. Then I put on some makeup and we headed out the door. 

First, she showed me where the kitchen was. Then she showed me the game room which I was only allowed to use after 10 pm because no one else was allowed to be in there at that time. Then she showed me where Ky's office was so that I wouldn't accidentally open the door when he was in the middle of something. Then she showed me where his room was, which was actually across from mine. I was not allowed in there unless instructed by him. 

Lastly, she showed me the garden. It was beautiful. In the center was a huge fountain with a wolf with water coming out of its mouth. There were flowers everywhere. As I was spelling the roses, I heard someone come up behind me. At first, I thought it was Lucy but my wolf could sense that it was my mate. I turned around and realized that he was a lot closer to me than expected and Lucy was nowhere to be seen. He must have dismissed her. 

"I see you are enjoying my garden." 

"It's very beautiful sir." 

"Yes, it is. Not as beautiful as you." 

"What?" 

He didn't say anything. He picked a rose and put it in my hair. Then he kissed me slowly and I let him. He led me into the packhouse and up to my room, but he left me at the door. I was so confused. Yesterday he hits me and plays with me and then he calls me beautiful and puts a flower in my hair. Am I ever going to understand him? 

Lucy came in not too long after and I asked her these questions. 

"Well, I am not supposed to say anything but I think you should know. Don't let anyone know that it was me who told you."

"I promise I won't." 

"Okay, it started when Ky was a young boy. He was playing with his father when his mother came in the room and needed to speak with his father in private. Ky left with his nanny. His mother didn't want to be Luna anymore and told him that she was in love with someone else. He didn't understand because they had the mate bond but she claimed that she loved someone else too. She chose the other guy instead of Ky's father.  No one has heard or seen her since. When Ky found out, he was heartbroken and constantly cried for his mother. His father tried to console him the best he could but then he started getting angry. He wasn't mad at Ky. He was mad at his ex-mate. However, he took it out on Ky. I am not sure what he did but it changed him. Ky used to be so kind and loving and now he seems heartless. I know that you can bring the old Ky back."

"Wow, that's a lot. It explains why he acts the way he does. I still don't understand why he was a mistress though."  

"She is a distraction from the pain that he feels from being abandoned by his mother and the abuse from his father. My theory is that he is scared his mate, you, are going to do the same thing that his mother did."

"I would never do such an awful thing."

"He doesn't know that. He is scared so he treats you badly."

"Ughhhhh men are so confusing."

"Men are confusing? What about women?' a male voice said. 

I realized it was coming from the doorway. It was Ky. Lucy left as soon as she realized who it was. Ky shut the door and came inside. I have no idea how much of that he heard. 

"So, you think men are confusing? Any man in particular?" he said, raising his eyebrows. 

"You."

"Me? How so?"

"One minute, you are hurting me and the next you are kissing me like I am important to you. I don't get it."

"Well, you are important to me. You are the only one who can give me heirs. You have alpha blood in you from your parents." 

"Is that all I am to you? A s*x toy? A body to produce your pup?"

"No. You also give me pleasure. f*****g Celeste doesn't fulfill my needs the way that it will when I mate with you. Because you are my destined mate, the feeling will be totally different."

I didn't respond. I didn't know what to say. I don't care what the moon goddess said. He doesn't love me. How much longer can I put up with this? While I was thinking to myself, I hadn't realized that he was talking to me. 

"What?" I said, confused.

"You weren't even listening to me when I am talking to you?"

WIthin second, I was pinned against the wall once again but this time he had me by the hair and he was holding me above the ground. I couldn't help but scream in pain. He looked at me with anger in his eyes and no sympathy for me as I had tears streaming down my face. He didn't care. Then he threw me against the bookcase that was there. My body hurt so bad but I tried to stand up. I wouldn't let him win that easily. I started grabbing books and throwing them at him. He dodged every single one of them as he walked toward me. Soon enough he was standing over me and I knew that I wasn't going to win. He grabbed me by the leg and pulled me towards the bed. Then he plopped me on it and laid on top of me again. 

I looked away. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of seeing the hurt in my eyes. However, he moved my chin with his hands and made me look at me. My face turned red with anger that he was doing this to me. I tried to push him off but he was too strong. He took my arms and held them on either side of my body. He began to kiss me but I didn't kiss him. 

"KISS ME BACK!"

I gave in and kissed him. Then he made his way down to my neck and kissed the spot where he is supposed to mark me. Then he kissed my collarbone and stopped. He looked into my eyes with a look that I couldn't figure out. Lust mixed in with fear I think. Then he got off of me and left me in my room, thinking about what just happened. 

Was he actually afraid that I was going to leave him? Well, I am going to have to soon if he keeps this behavior up because I am getting sick and tired of it. I have only been here a couple of days and he has already made my life hell.
