His Abused Mate

Chapter 10

Apparently I had a personal guard that I didn't know about that was supposed to go with me anytime I left the packhouse other than when I am with Ky. 

We left and went to the mall. We got several looks from males, some wolves, and some humans. When the wolves smelled that I was marked, they looked at Lucy because she wasn't marked yet. I grabbed her arm protectively and growled so they knew that she was off-limits regardless. After that, we didn't have a problem. 

The first store we went into had tons of dresses that were VERY short. Lucy picked out a short red dress with a low neckline and lots of sparkles for herself. She was trying to show me tons of dresses that I could choose from. 

However, I saw a dress that caught my eye above the rest. It was really short but I fell in love with the simplicity. It was black with spaghetti straps and a low neckline. It was an a-line dress that barely covered my butt but it fit like a glove. Lucy thought I should go for something that popped more but when she saw the smile on my face after putting it on, she agreed that it was the one. 

Next, we stopped at the shoe store. Since I got a black dress, I decided to spice it up with some sparkly heels. They were silver and about 4 inches. I still would be way shorter than Ky. He's 6'5 and without heels, I am only 5'4. Lucy got a pair of black heels to match her dress. 

I had some of my mom's jewelry in my room and decided that I didn't want to buy any. Lucy decided on silver hoops for some extra sass. 

Next, we went to get lingerie. I found a cute little number that matched the color of my wolf. The bra part was lacy and didn't have straps so it would go perfectly under my dress and it was paired with lacy underwear. I went simple with this too because I had a feeling that I wasn't going to have any of this on for very long. 

After we got what we needed to, we headed back to my room to get ready together. Her mate, Ceaser, was going to pick her up at 7:30 and it was already 6. She got dressed and I straightened her hair and did her makeup. I

 got dressed and she curled my hair and pinned up the sides. While she was fixing me up, there was a knock on the door. I went to go open it. 

It was Ceaser. He has blonde hair and brown eyes which was the complete opposite of Lucy with her black hair and blue eyes. 

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth, Lucy's best friend."

"Hello, Elizabeth. I am here to pick up Lucy."

"Of course. She is ready for you. I expect you to treat her like a princess and if you don't I will make you regret it."

"I expect nothing less. Lucy deserves the best."

"Good glad we are on the same page. Have fun you two."

Lucy gave me a hug and went on her way. I finished up getting ready. I decided to do a smokey eye with eyeliner. I was putting on my shoes and looked at the clock. It was 7:59. 

I walked out of my room and across the hallway. Then I knocked. 

When no one answered, I opened the door and saw rose pedals. I followed them to a balcony where Ky was waiting for me. When he saw me, his eyes practically popped out of his head. 

"You look stunning. I'm tempted to go straight to dessert," he said as he wrapped his arms around me. 

"Be patient darling. It will be worth the wait."

He let me go and we had dinner. We talked about my ceremony that they have planned in a couple of days that will make me the official Luna. He told me that he officially broke it off with Celeste but that she didn't take it too well. He explained that the man who hurt me was dealt with and that he won't hurt me ever again. When I asked him what he meant he told me that he and Celeste have been banned from this pack for hurting me. He had found out that Celeste paid him to hurt me. 

Afterward, he got quiet. 

"Elizabeth, you are the love of my life. You are my mate and you mean everything to me. You deserve the world and so much more. I want to share my whole life with you. I promise to protect you and love you forever. I want to make you officially mine. Now that we have marked each other and finished the mating process, I want to take the next step."

He got down on one knee and pulled out a small box.

"I love you with everything that I am. Will you marry me?"

I wiped the tears from my eyes. 

"Of course I will marry you, my love."

He put the ring on my finger and I leaped into his arms. 

Then the alarms sent off.
