Nick's POV:
After she went inside I headed back to my car. I see that she left her purse so I went to go back to her door. I was about to knock when I heard something. I focused on my wolf hearing. I heard how scared she sounded of her uncle so I mind linked one of my pack members how happened to be a police officer. I gave him the address and told him to get here fast. And he did just not fast enough. When we got in there and I saw how bad she was beaten up I wanted to kill him. I couldn't understand anything that Roger was saying. He is the pack member I mind linked. I snapped out of it and ran to Mila. She was almost out. We rushed her to the pack hospital knowing any regular hospital wouldn't let me stay with her. Once we got there she was rushed into surgery to stop any internal bleeding. A couple of hours later she was put into a room while the doctor told me her injuries. I sat with her the whole night waiting for her to wake up. By morning I had fallen asleep.
Mila's POV:
I wake up to the sound of beeping. I look over and see Nick.
"Nick?" I say with a dry throat.
He snaps his head up quickly and says
"Mila?"
