Chapter 9

Mila's POV: 

"U-uncle Jack?" I ask scared.

I look at him scared not knowing what to do.

"What you scared now? Not having your boyfriend to protect you?" He laughs.

"I-I uh-"

"You nothing. Now get over her. NOW!" He shouts.

I walk over there and he starts to beat me. By now I'm on the floor crying as he continues to kick my ribs. Then out of nowhere the door is forced open off of its hinges.

"Freeze! Put your hands where I can see them!" I look over at see police officers in my home pointing a gun at my uncle, but really surprises me is I see Nick with them.

"You are under arrest for the assault of a miner anything you say can and with be used against you in the court of law I have..." I hear them say but I start to drift in and out, and I see Nick running to me. Telling me that he was here and to stay with him. Then everything went black.
