Chapter 3

700 Words
Mila's POV:     After school, I headed straight to my job. My Uncle makes me work 3 jobs. I get nothing out of it he makes me give him all the money I make. I'm just glad it's almost closing time. I mean I hate going home to him but today has been so long and I can only hope that he isn't home or he is asleep. We close up the shop and head home. It's 11:30 p.m. I take the back roads to get home knowing a lot of creeps come out at night. I walk down the empty roads lost in my own thoughts as I am taken surprise by a wolf's howl in the silent night. I look around so confused not knowing where that came from. I wasn't scared. Just curious. When I was young my mom would always read me a story about wolf's and werewolf. I knew that they weren't really but to this day I still read about them. If werewolves were really I know everything there is to know about them. Reading about them I don't know, but it makes me feel closer to my mom somehow. Realizing I'm now back at the house I let out a sigh. I walk to the door and open it as quietly as possible. I close the door and make a beeline to my room. I set my stuff down on the floor and drop to my bed. Falling asleep with a smile for avoiding the drunk and angry abuse tonight.  Nick POV: Something isn't right. I couldn't be happier to have found my mate but I can't help the feeling that she is in some sort of danger. I'm going to talk to her at school tomorrow. I have to get to know her better. I just hope she will talk to me. But damn I can't wait to look into her beautiful eyes and feel those sparks again.  Next Morning: I wake up excited to see my mate again. I get out of bed and get dressed. I go downstairs to Dylan and Max eating breakfast and goofing off.                                                                                                                                      "Morning Alpha Nick," Layla says with a teasing smirk walking out of the kitchen.                                                "Well good morning to you, sister" I smile knowing nothing can bring me down, now that I have found my mate. My sister looks at me weird. She doesn't know that I found her yet. She didn't go to school yesterday because she was sick. She walks over to Dylan and gives him a peck on the lips before sitting next to him "Good morning babe" She greets him, and then they fall into their own conversation. Layla and Dylan are mates. Last night when we got back I told Dylan not to tell anything to my sister because I didn't want her to scare Mila off. Don't get me wrong I love my sister but she can be a bit much most of the time. I don't know how Dylan can be with her all the time. I guess it just proves how powerful mates are. After we all ate and got our stuff we headed out to the car and started the journey to school. After a 30 minute drive, we pull up to the school. I don't even wait for them and I'm out of the car before its fully parked. I walk into the school and start looking down the hallways. About 2 minutes later I found her by her locker, taking out her books. I take a second to build up the courage to go up and talk to her. I take a deep breath and walk up to her.  "Hi"
