"Good morning," my brother Seshwant greeted me as I descended down stairs. Is He looking very excited this early in the morning?

"Good morning! What are you excited about my little brother?" He glares at me as He hates when I call him 'little' and I enjoy irritating him.

"I am not going to say you and Where do you think you are going? It's your engagement tomorrow!!"

"Where do u think I am going?"

"You have your engagement ceremony tomorrow, You are not allowed to go out today"

“As you said, my engagement is tomorrow And I have to take leave for about a week, I need to get my work done today."

I knew the reason for his eagerness, I too am eager to see Krishnan uncle, his wife, she was really a great woman, someone who tried her best to help usc make my dad understand we need him that drinks wouldn’t do us any benefit.

Krishnan uncle is my dad's good friend from their college time. Me, my brother, and Varun (Krishnan uncle's son) became good friends like our dads.

His daughter, I saw their daughter only once, when she was born in the hospital, then I haven’t met her till now.

But, all I know is my mom adores her more than she always tries to bring her to our home and Lakshmi aunty keeps the baby close to her, and it used to be a fun game between them.

Dad and Sesh were talking about meeting someone for my marriage, They both did not allow me to intervene in the marriage arrangements, asking me to enjoy my marriage and later tell them how their surprise wedding arrangements were.

My phone vibrated in my pocket and pulled it out to see, the call was from my PA that he needs me to come asap as he explained what happened as the deal is getting complicated for them to close.

Dad groaned, As he has some marriage arrangements to take care of, that he doesn’t have an option but had to let me go to the office.

My brother is not allowed to get into serious business administration until he finishes his college studies though he is currently applied for an internship. Dad wanted him to enjoy college life, I was like my brother at one point too.

While I was driving out of our driveway, I saw a car drive in. I thought it might be Krishnan's uncle and his family. Right then I got a call from Varun to confirm, he informed me they reached my house. I apologized to him saying that I wouldn't be able to meet them today but will meet them tomorrow.

I went to the office to close the deal, thinking I would finish that in an hour or two in max. Jay asked if he was the groom or it’s me as he was waiting in the spa for me. He sighed and postponed the appointment tomorrow, came to help me as he has his day free anyway. It took us five hours to close it.

I checked all over again in the office with all the upcoming processes, and with the satisfaction that everything would be fine, until I get back.

We left the office and Jai saying bye to me left his home as it’s already late, as Anyway he will everyone tomorrow. When I was about to start, dad called me to come home straight.

I parked my car in the car lot, and entered the house to see two pairs of ladies slippers as I leave my slippers out . Wow! we have guests( please enjoy the sarcasm).

I went inside tip toeing hoping not to get caught in the guest eyes, Most of the times the guests will be annoying, saying they have a great girl or knows this extraordinary person that they think would be a good partner for me. so I mostly avoid it as I don’t want to snap at them because I want a life partner and not a business partner.

Wait! I am going to get married, I don’t have anything to avoid anymore.

Hearing two females laughing out loud, I stood still as it’s really been a long time hearing this type of whole hearted laugh from a lady in our house after mom left, not minding what we guys of this house think of them.

I had some type of eagerness to meet this lady that made the other lady laugh to the level, she is asking her to stop as her stomach pains due to her laugh.

I was about to see who they are, when my phone vibrated showing Sesh's name.

“Where are you?”

“In our home, why?”

“Well, come to dad’s office asap!” He ended his call.

What’s with the office when we have some happy guests in the living room, wasn’t I asked to be out of office matters? Thinking that the lady had to wait and started towards the office room.
