The Alpha Who Rejected His Moon Queen By MALLO Royale Chapter Six The Crimson Prince The forest seemed to hold its breath. Seraphina's eyes darted from the cloaked warriors to the mysterious man standing before her. Every soldier knelt with one fist pressed against the ground. "Long live the Moon Queen." The words echoed through the trees. Her heart raced. "No..." she whispered, shaking her head. "You're making a mistake. I'm not a queen." The man turned to face her. His expression softened, though the authority in his crimson eyes never faded. "You've lived with a lie for twenty years," he said quietly. "It is only natural that the truth feels impossible." Seraphina stared at him. "Who are you?" Before he could answer, the captain of Blackwood's warriors raised his sword. "Enough talking!" he barked. "Seize the girl!" The soldiers charged. The cloaked warriors moved instantly, drawing crimson blades that gleamed beneath the moonlight. Steel clashed against steel. The peaceful forest erupted into chaos. Seraphina stood frozen. She had never witnessed a real battle. One of the Blackwood warriors broke through the line and rushed toward her. "There she is!" He reached for her arm. Before he could touch her, the mysterious man caught the warrior's wrist. There was a sharp crack. The warrior cried out as his sword fell to the ground. The stranger released him with a shove. "Leave." The warrior stumbled backward in terror. "You... you're a vampire..." The stranger's crimson eyes narrowed. "I gave you a chance." In the next heartbeat, he vanished. A blur of black swept through the battlefield. One by one, the attacking soldiers were disarmed and thrown aside without a single life being taken. Within moments, the clearing fell silent. The Blackwood warriors lay scattered across the ground, groaning in pain. Their captain struggled to his feet, breathing heavily. "You'll regret this," he growled. "Our Alpha will never forgive such an insult." The stranger smiled faintly. "I am not seeking his forgiveness." He stepped closer. "You may return to Alpha Lucien." His voice became cold. "And tell him this..." "If he wishes to hunt the Moon Queen..." "He must first face the House of Noctis." The captain's face drained of color. He whispered the name in disbelief. "No..." "It can't be..." "The royal vampire family still exists?" Without another word, he signaled his men. The surviving warriors retreated into the darkness. Seraphina watched them disappear. Her legs trembled. Everything she had believed about the world was changing. She turned to the stranger. "They called you House of Noctis." He nodded. "My name is Cassian Noctis." "The Crown Prince of the Vampire Kingdom." Seraphina blinked. "Crown... Prince?" "I serve my father, King Alaric Noctis." He paused before continuing. "And for two decades, my family has searched every kingdom for one person." He looked directly into her eyes. "You." A thousand questions flooded her mind. "Why?" Cassian reached into his coat and removed an old parchment sealed with silver wax. The seal bore the same crescent moon engraved on her pendant. He handed it to her. "This letter was written on the night your mother died." Seraphina's fingers trembled as she accepted it. "My... mother?" "It was entrusted to our family." "She asked us to protect you until the day you were ready to know the truth." Tears blurred Seraphina's vision. For twenty years, she had believed she had nothing. No family. No past. No one who had ever loved her. Now a single letter threatened to change everything. She broke the seal. Inside was only one sentence, written in elegant silver ink. "To my daughter... trust no one until you find the man with crimson eyes." Seraphina slowly looked up. Cassian met her gaze without speaking. A cold breeze swept through the clearing. Far away, beyond the forest, a lone wolf stood on a cliff overlooking the battlefield. Its silver eyes glowed beneath the moon. Alpha Lucien. He had followed his warriors in secret. From the distance, he watched Cassian gently place a protective cloak around Seraphina's shoulders. His wolf growled with possessive fury. Mine. Lucien clenched his fists. For the first time since the rejection... Regret pierced his heart. And he realized one terrifying truth. He might have just handed his fated mate to the vampires.
