  Taking a deep breath, Amelia gathered her thoughts before speaking. "I need to talk to Dad about Stephan's son and my decision to still marry him," she explained, watching her mother's expression closely for any sign of worry or disapproval.   "I just don't know how to tell it to Dad... I'm scared about how he will react," she confessed, the burden of the revelation pressing upon her. Her mother stretched her hand and linked it to hers lovingly. "I'll be with you," she whispered gently.   "We'll tell him together." Amelia nodded gratefully. Hand-in-hand, they went into the house where their father was, sitting in the office, sorting his documents.
