Shadows on the sideline

After school and hanging out with Jessica. Luca went straight to home, only to meet her daily adversary. Her grand mother.

"Teenagers these days doesn't even make time to study. Going around town doing God's know what! I should have really not taken you away from one of your parents. Useless h*ssy" Lucia heatedly said while glaring at Luca.

Luca, as always pretended to be deaf and went straight to her room and slammed the door.

She only agreed to stay with her grandmother since she's free to move around unlike when her dad and mom, who were divorced agreed on dropping her on a catholic boarding school before where she received horrible treatment.

When her mom found out, she have taken Luca away from that boarding school and left her with her crazy grand mother.

The only difference of treatment is that her Grandmother is only verbally abusive. She also directly receive her monthly allowance unlike from the boarding school who didn't even let her receive decent meals.

"guess, I will have to go to that stupid school trip." Luca said while plopping down on her bed. She easily went to sleep.

"Luca, wake up. Luca, wake up."

"Save me Luca. Save me please, I'm begging you."

"You can't pretend you're normal. Soon you will see things again hahahaha."

"Luca, told me she can see the future. Hahahaha. She's crazy. She told me I will die by someone I love."

"she's crazy!!! She killed Cath!!!"

"STOP!!! I DID NOT KILL HER!" Luca screamed. She woke up and looked at the clock. It's only 2 am.

She vaguely remember what her dream was all about. She can only hear voices from that dream but she can't see their faces.

"YOU CRAZY GIRL, SCREECHING AT NIGHT!!! YOU DEMON CHILD! I KNOW YOU'RE A F*CKING WITCH!" her grandmother screamed at her while banging on her door.

"I'm going to sleep again!!! Good night!" Luca shouted back.

She's used to the nightmares, she's used to losing sleep. She's also used to her grandmother getting upset about it.

Luca opened the lights on her room. "No more sleep for me then." she said to herself and went to get a book from her large bookcase.

She read for a couple of hours and she didn't realize she was fallin asleep. She didn't even realized somebody turned off the lights for her that went back to the shadows.

The day of the school trip.

Luca,who is being smothered by Jessica's large bust due to a big bear hug asked for help.

"JES, I-I CAN'T BREATHE" she can also smell Jessica's overly sweet expensive perfume.

"omg I'm so excited!!! Don't you know there will also be seniors from  St.Xaivier! They have the same School trip date! All people around there are so hot!  This trip is totally worth it!" Jessica excitedly chatted.

Clara pulled Luca away from the overly excited Jessica. " seems like something to look forward to, maybe we can find Luca her first boyfriend. " clara jokingly said.

Luca rolled her eyes. " sorry Girls, I'm not into dating. " she said while still recovering from being choked.

Now somebody hanged their heavy muscular arm around Lucas's neck.

" But you're so ready to date, Jasper?" Dylan said.

" That's foul!" Jessica said. Luca and clara got silent.

" jeesh, Dy. You really know how to ruin the mood." Granger said with Abby in tow.

Abby smacked her brother's head. "cut it out, history is history. Jasper is already dead to us."

"Yahh, he broke our Lucas's heart. F*ck him!" Jessica said.

"Hey guys, I'm not dead yet." Jasper suddenly appeared. "get in the designated bus already, Angela is checking who's not yet on their bus." he added.

The girls rolled their eyes while the guys, who were once close-knitted with Jasper shrugged.

"well that was awkward." Clara said when they were already far from Jasper.

Luca is still red in embarrassment for her friends.

It was known that Jasper was once a part of their small group of friends. She and Jasper was inseparable since freshman. They were even like couples always going out on weekends and after school.

But Jasper suddenly changed when they reached prom on junior year. He suddenly asked Angela to the prom for unknown reasons. He never even mentioned Angela that much to them.

"Bestie, let's be seat mates." Jessica said while clinging on Lucas's arms.

"Sure, but I want to be beside the window." Luca said.

So the 7 of them where on the back of the bus.

It's a 5 hours trip and they did have stop overs.

On the middle of the trip, Luca can see Angela and Jasper cuddling. She thought to herself they make a gorgeous pair of couple. Angela being the School President and Queen bee while Jasper being the handsome charming guy he is.

She just can't understand how did Angela stole Jasper away from her. And why jasper suddenly treated her like she was dirt. She really want to know how did Angela did it and why Jasper when there were tons of other handsome guys on their school.

When they were nearing De San Miguel, they noticed how the colder it is given it's really rainy and windy these past few days but the cold in the area is different. It might be because they're in higher altitude as what Professor Theo said to them.

Luca noticed that the houses they past by which are far from one another are rather designed in an old goth fashion.

"great! It looks like a horror town." Dylan jokingly said. The others who heard him laughed.

"Mr.Pelps,you want to be the clown today as well?" Professor Theo asked.

Dylan signed to zip his lips. Luca and her friends tried so hard not to snicker.

Luca went back to looking at the window, it's a little quite since Jessica fell asleep after using her energy to talk about boys.

She actually liked the dark theme of the place and she wanted to take pictures later on.

She was looking past the dark oak trees when she saw a glimpse of a dark shadow of a man. She blinked.

The shadow is still there.
