The Earth Is Alive: It Moves and Breathes, Lives and Dies Deep within the mountains of Saint Francis are thousands of fissures, cracks, crevices, and caverns. Like all objects that appear to be stable to the naked eye, they are not. From our own human bodies to the core of Earth itself, we each are a conglomerate of empty space sprinkled with just enough matter and it is not solid either to create the illusion of something dense and concrete. Everything in the universe is comprised of more emptiness than solidness. Mountains and rocks, likewise, are not solid.
