Chapter Fourteen Ella Quiet snoring sounds met my ears as I woke up. My mouth felt as if cotton balls had been shoved into it. My head felt like someone hammered on it, and my eyes burned when I opened them. Quickly I closed them back up. What did I do last night? Nothing was coming back to me, so it might be just a cold. Running my hands down my body, I found my shirt and jeans were still on. What’s going on? I sat up, opened my eyes even though they stung like crazy, and that’s when I saw a large lump on the floor of a bedroom that wasn’t mine. “Shit.” I reached up to my hair to find it a tangled mess. “Where am I?” The room was still dark.
