First Day Back

-Cass- As we headed out the driveway, I could see the smirk plastered on Leah's face. She turned to look at the truck as we passed it by. "He seems interested", she mentioned, as she no longer could contain the laughter irrupting from her lips. I didn't want to say anything about what happened yesterday, but knowing she already knew, I decided I should confirm it. Maybe that would make her stop thinking of me already getting out there. Girl I just got dumped. I thought. I turned to her and asked "What is so amusing this morning? Since we stepped out of the house, all you have been doing is grinning and laughing." She turns with the most serious look on her face that she can muster. " Oh nothing." She states. She turned to the window to stifle her laughter. "OOOOOk" I said. "Well, on that note I have something to tell you." I sighed out. "Roman broke up with me last night after we.." I said. I couldn't even finish my sentence before Leah turned her head, almost giving herself a whip lash for how fast she turned. With a stern look she slowly asked, "Are you trying to tell me all he waited for months was for him to bang you?" I turned to look at her. Her face was no longer stern. Her expression kept changing from anger to looking at me with sadness in her eyes. "That P.O.S !!!" She exclaimed. "Have you seen the post?" I questioned. To top it all off, Jason posted several stories on IG about how it was a bet. That I played so hard to get to finally give it up to his boy. The best one was him saying that the fortress was conquered. All in the span of four hours. With a hurt look on her face, she replied, "Yeah, I didn't wanna say anything until you were ready. I saw them right before you went downstairs." So that is why she was looking at me in that way, I remembered. I want to believe Roman didn't tell him we were intimate, but how else would he have known? Hoping he won't give him any details about what we did. I thought as we got into the university, I parked in our usual parking spot. I looked at Leah to ask, "Do you think he told him what we did? Why would he wait to dump me right after we did it?" "Girl, because men are idiots. They will go after someone or something that nobody can have just to prove they can do it." "But why me? Why wait seven months to just say OK I'm done?" I said more then asked. Leah looked at me with anger in her eyes, a steady tone expressed, "Because he is a fool who will get what he deserves." a devilish grin appeared on her lips. Knowing her, she wants me to make him feel the way I do. I couldn't do that if he didn't want me to begin with. It was a bet Roman made and he played it right. He got what he wanted. It wouldn't hurt him at all, I thought. My body tensed. "What do you mean?" I asked. " Lets get even with both those pricks." Leah replied. "How are we going to do that ? If neither of them will be bothered. People are going to talk mess". I told Leah. " Who cares, we only live once. They deserve to pay. With all these double standards, we can't do what they do because we were hxxx for doing it. If we wait, then we are being prudes. They want a vxxxxxx but when they get them they want a pro", Leah declared. "Yeah, but I'm not like that!" I exclaimed as we got out of the car. "After what Roman did I don't care, I just never wanna see him again or even talk to him, and I definitely don't want to talk about him. He is now unmentionedable," I stated. She gets to my side and tells me "OK Cass, I understand, I'll back off. We all have our ways of coping with our own situations," Leah replies. We lock arms and head toward the medical building. As we reach the double doors, she stops to stare with a smirk on her face. "You gotta admit the new neighbors are fiiiiine!!!" She drags out the word for dramatic effect. I rolled my eyes, huffed out in defeat. "OK, he is fine, but I'm not ready. If and when I'm ready, I will consider him". I said with a smile. -Leah- As we reversed out of the driveway I couldn't contain the laughter that kept trying to escape. The way they looked at each other could make you believe they found their soulmate like in all those werewolf novels we used to read in middle school. That when they turn of age ,they have found their soul mate, they stop and stare and say mate. I try not to laugh at the thought. That's all they were missing. We passed the driver's side of the truck and looked up just to confirm he was looking at us passing by . To no surprise, his eyes were glued past me looking at Cass. I keep looking out when I say " He seems interested." I laugh, no longer able to hold it back. The thought of how they looked at each other kept replaying in my mind. "What is so amusing this morning? Since we stepped out of the house, all you have been doing is grinning and laughing." Cass responds. I tried to stay serious. " Oh nothing." I let out as I turned back to the window before I burst out laughing. "OOOOOk" She said. "Well, on that note I have something to tell you." Cass sighed out. "Roman broke up with me last night after we.." she was saying. I interrupted. I turned a little faster than I intended as I looked at her to ask , "Are you trying to tell me all he waited for months was for him to bang you?" Trying not to show how upset I am. It upset me when I got on IG . All the stories , posts, comments about them breaking up. Not as much as right now hearing from my best friend that it was true. He fxxxed her and ended it all in the same night. Cass looks at me and I don't know if to be angry or sad that this happened to her again. Damian, her ex, at least waited months before he left her. He was her longest relationship yet. Everyone in our high school thought they would end up getting married, since they had dated for two years. He decided he needed to explore his horizons after graduation. "That P.O.S !!!" I exclaimed. "Have you seen the post?" She questioned. To top it all off, Jason posted several stories on IG about how it was a bet. That she played hard and finally Roman got her p***y. The best one was him saying that the fortress was conquered. As if Cassie was some type of uncharted territory. I couldn't look her in her eyes. I replied, "Yeah, I didn't wanna say anything until you were ready. I saw them right before you went downstairs." I knew Roman was bad news, but I didn't think he told that i***t things that were so intimate . We got to the university. She parked in our usual spot. Cassie turned to ask, "Do you think he told him what we did? Why would he wait to dump me right after we did it?" "Girl, because men are idiots. They will go after someone or something that nobody can have just to prove they can do it." I said as I held her hand to cunfert her. "But why me? Why wait seven months to just say OK I'm done?" She said more, asking herself then me. I was angry trying to hold it in. Even though it wasn't a question for me, I answered , "Because he is a fool who will get what he deserves." I looked at her with a grin, thinking of everything we could do to pay him back for this. She got a little tense already knowing what I was thinking. "What do you mean?" she asked. " Lets get even with both those pricks." I replied. "How are we going to do that ? If neither of them will be bothered. People are going to talk mess". Cass said with a frown on her face. " Who cares, we only live once. They deserve to pay. With all these double standards, we can't do what they do because we were hxxx for doing it. If we wait, then we are being prudes. They want a vxxxxxx but when they get them they want a pro", I almost yelled. "Yeah, but I'm not like that!"She said as we got out of the car. It upset me when I got on IG . All the stories , posts, comments about them breaking up. Not as much as right now hearing from my best friend that it was true. He fxxxxx and ended it all in the same night. While Jason was glad to plaster it on the school IG page for everyone to know. "That P.O.S !!!" I finally let out . "Have you seen the post?" she asked with a knowing look. I read them but didn't believe them as to why I didn't say anything. It was messed up enough. Jason had the whole school on IG so everyone we knew would see. "Yeah, I didn't wanna say anything until you were ready. I saw them right before you went downstairs." I responded. The rest of the way was quiet but I couldn't stop thinking about ways she could get back at both of those jerks. Cass could use the neighbor as a distraction and prove to Roman she can move on just like he claimed he did. On the other hand, for his boy, Jason, I could make him fall in love with me. When he least expects it, I will dump him so he knows how it feels and maybe next time he won't be posting other peoples'business. We got to university quicker than I thought we would. Cass parked in our usual parking spot. "Do you think he told him what we did? Why would he wait to dump me right after we did it?" She turns to ask. "Girl, because men are idiots. They will go after someone or something that nobody can have just to prove they can do it." I let her know. "But why me? Why wait seven months to just say OK I'm done?" she said more, then asking like if she was trying to search her mind for an answer. I looked at Cass with an angry expression and explained "Because he is a fool who will get what he deserves." An evil smile creeped up the corners of my mouth with all the thoughts of what we could do to them . "What do you mean?" Cass asked already knowing what I meant. " Lets get even with both those pricks." I replied. "How are we going to do that ? If neither of them will be bothered. People are going to talk mess". She tells me . " Who cares? We only live once. They want a vxxxxxx but when they get them they want a pro", I declared. I was tired of always being the played and not the player . "Yeah, but I'm not like that!" she informed me as we got out of the car. "After what Roman did, I don't care, I just never wanna see him again or even talk to him, and I definitely don't want to talk about him. He is now unmentionedable," Cass stated. I walked over to her and reassured her that im here if she needed me . "OK Cass, I understand, I'll back off. We all have our ways of coping with our own situations," We lock arms and head toward the medical building. When we were closer to the entrance, I stopped and gave her a little smirk ."You gotta admit the new neighbors are fiiiiine!!!" I dragged out the word to hopefully get across how good looking they are.. Cass rolled her eyes at me as she admitted, "OK, he is fine, but I'm not ready. If and when I'm ready, I will consider him".She explained with a smile.
