“Do you feel connected to anyone?” he looked like he was deep in thought then shook his head no. “Then the chance is you didn’t,” I rushed into the kitchen and poured a coffee. “Are you ok Skyler? You were asleep by the time we got back.” “Yeah just a little shaken I guess, I'm fine I'm just going head to the library until I'm needed.” I hid in a dark corner and read report after report until I actually ran out of them. Just as I was about to get up, Ky stepped out of the shadows. “Why are you hiding?” he asked calmly, “I'm not.. I'm just reading as much as I can while I'm here.” I said getting up and putting the files away. “Do you remember hearing anything at all?” “No I was out the whole time.” Instantly I felt a wave of lust that I needed to steady myself against the bookshelf. “I think you’re lying. I think you know exactly what happened last night” I licked my lips and tried to leave but he blocked me. “Ky, get out of my way.” I said strongly but he wouldn’t back down. I felt his mind press against mine and I gasped at the contact. “This isn’t possible, we’re bonded.” I whispered inside my head. “That we are, I'm inside your head now.” He said evilly and smiled. “Skyler? Are you here?” before I could answer Ky pinned me against the wall and kissed me, I got lost in the kiss as he grinded his pelvis against me. his hand slipped beneath my pants and he slide 2 fingers inside me then put his hand over my mouth, using only his fingers I came hard around him. He smiled evilly at my messed up thoughts. “You will be mine, which is a promise.” He said then left quietly, I stood there for a minute to collect myself. “Why didn’t you tell Mark? You lied to your boss.” I snapped at Ky, I feel his guilt. “Because I was still working it out when I spoke with Mark this morning.” And that’s when I realized that I wasn’t hungry at all. “What the hell is happening to me?” “Fate.” A soft female voice said, I brushed if off and went to my room for a feeding but when I saw the vials of blood I noticed my hunger didn’t spike so I decided to do a little test. I went outside and walked around until I found a herd of deer not to far in the north, I could smell them and hear their heartbeats but I had no urge to go and feed. I sat down on the grass and tried to reach out to whoever was listening. “Skyler, you’re not alone my child. I have chosen you as my champion for this world, a battle is coming that could end all of life as you know it but there is hope, you. You will be tested and pushed to the depths of despair but you can will make it thru, you will find friends along the way that will help you when the battle starts.” “Why me?
