Paulina ran very fast, for a whole kilometer, before stopping because her heart and lungs couldn’t keep up. Yuri finally caught up with her. Looking around, they had already run into the woods. The bright moon hung high in the sky, casting a layer of clear light over the entire woods.
Barbara and the others didn’t run as desperately as they did. After finally catching up, they found a large rock to hide behind and tried their best to listen in on them.
Yuri put one hand on Paulina’s shoulder, trying to get her to turn around and talk. Paulina shook his hand off forcefully and said in a harsh tone, “Why are you chasing after me? Even though I’m just a fickle person, don’t worry, I’m not interested in your roommate at all. If that’s what you’re here for, you can scram right now.”
