Zeph ordered his underlings to sent Aralyn back to the cell, but he told them to leave Keith with him. Aralyn tried her best to escape from the female beast's hands but she was stronger than Aralyn was, so there was zero chance to escape. And Keith's facial expressions were still the same. He didn't say a thing. Then, right before Aralyn was taken out from the hall, he glanced at her and smiled...
His smile was rather sad, but seemed glad at the same time. It's like as if he was relieved.
"Why are you doing this?!"
Aralyn asked the female beast.
"I follow every single order of the master. It's nothing strange that I'm doing this to you."
She answered as she sat by the cell.
Aralyn glared at her but she ignored it and acted like nothing's wrong. Aralyn looked at her own hands as she held on to the bars of the cell. The female beast noticed Aralyn and sighed.
"What are you glooming over? You'll be released eventually."
Her words made Aralyn surprised, she looked to the female beast and asked,
"What about Keith then?! If you're going to release us eventually, why was Keith left alone in that hall?!"
"Hold your breathe. I said, you will be released. Not that half fairy."
"No..."
The female beast saw how Aralyn was shocked and tried to say something but,
"NO! I can't... I can't leave without Keith..."
Her voice was shaking and her hands were trembling. Her eyes were filled with tears which made the female underling shock.
"Why... why do you even care about him that much? He's not a living nor a fairy. He's unwelcomed to the society... and yet, you..."
"It doesn't matter what he is. All it matters to me is that who he is."
"Cordelia..."
"...huh..?"
"My name.. it's Cordelia."
Different from before, Cordelia had a soft expression. She looked away from Aralyn as she got up.
"I'll help you get Keith out of here..."
Aralyn was surprised to hear that Cordelia would help her. She stayed still in the cell right where she was and waited for Cordelia as she went out. When she came back, she opened the cell and gave Aralyn her bag.
"Don't make any sound. Or else, both you and I won't be leaving alive."
Aralyn gulped as she heard Cordelia's statement. She took her bag and slide it under the hack of hay at the corner of the cell. She stayed still and made no sound just as Cordelia told her to.
"What do you want from me?"
Zeph scoffed a laugher as he heard Keith's voice. He could sense the anger from the young creature's words.
"Your eyes... they do resemble your mother, don't they?"
"You know nothing about my mother..."
"That makes me want to gouge them out."
Zeph was a cruel creature. He had a stone-cold heart and he only cares for himself. It didn't matter to him who dies or who lives, as long as he's fine.
"If you call Violetta here, I'll let you live. What do you say?"
Keith laughed with sarcasm as loud as possible and looked at Zeph.
"Call Violetta for you? You make good jokes, Zeph."
Zeph dashed to Keith right at the moment Keith finished talking and grabbed him by his chin. He stared into Keith's eyes and pierce his face with his claws.
"Laughed, didn't you? can you laugh now? Huh?"
Even though Zeph's claws were deep into his cheeks and chin, Keith laughed with sarcasm once again, staring back into the beast eyes.
"You bastard! I'll-"
Right before Zeph could finish his words, a bright light shone from Keith'sfairy mark once again which made the beast went blind for a moment.
But when the light faded and turned back to normal, the young creature in his hands was gone. Only his blood stains on the ground and Zeph's hands were left.
"That bastard..."
