I laid on Elijah’s chest listening to the sound of him breathing and his steady heart beat for the next few hours. Even though I told him that meeting Arthur was just a nightmare I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to it than that. Part of me was scared that if I closed my eyes I would find myself right back there in that horrendous bed with him. I watched as the room became lighter over the next couple of hours and the house slowly started to wake up around us.
