Finding Proof

503 Words
Axle Axle kept his eyes on the comments section as he listened to Truckin Witch talk about Statues of Limitations. As usual there were a few men making snide comments about the female truck driver, but she had never acknowledged the trolls, so Axle also ignored them. Finally he saw what he was searching for LegalEagle03 made a comment "Good job Truckin Witch! Are you sure you're a truck driver and not a lawyer? LOL Just wanted to leave a few comments on some things you didn't mention. In all states there is no statue of limitations on homicide, or crimes that lead to death. Even if the criminal statue has expired in some cases, the case can be taken to civil court for compensation." Axle's smile grew as he read the comment. That b*tch Brenda would pay for his dad's death. One way or another. He smirked thinking about the fact that it was Brenda's own daughter that had given him hope. Axle remembered the day 3 years ago his step brother PJ had shown him the YT channel with a look of disdain, "That little c*nt thinks she can become YT famous with this trash." PJ sneered pointing at the screen. "She thinks she's so damn smart, not showing her face, but I recognize that truck. It's a customized Peterbilt, Mom tried to get it in the divorce, but since it belonged to him before they married, he got to keep it. Now that b*tch has it." Axle made a sound of agreement, just to appease PJ. But he didn't agree with the crap he was spouting. He hacked the home security system the night his dad had brought Brenda and her son's home and recorded the confrontation as it happened. It still churned his stomach when he thought about the vile words Brenda threw at her ex about their daughter. But he didn't share the file with PJ or Jared, not yet. He needed more dirt on that wicked b*tch. He needed to find proof that she was responsible for his dad's accident, that she had somehow changed his Will to include conditions where she maintained control of their trust funds until he and his twin were married for at least 4 years. She couldn't take the money, she only had access to the interest to pay "living expenses" but she held it hostage none the less. If either of them didn't marry by the time they were 30 she would get 50% of the trust. The one thing Axle and Harley had in their favor was that Brenda couldn't touch the money their mom had left to them. Only two more years until that money was available to them, then they could walk away from that woman, but Axle wasn't staying for the money, he wanted. No, needed to make that woman pay for their dad's death. With his computer skills he was sure he just needed to look in the right place and he would find the proof.
