Hearing her question, he froze for a second before saying, "Why? Do you also like egg tart? It's my favorite, so I ordered one for us."
Xenia didn't look satisfied by his answer, so she looked into his eyes to see if he was telling the truth or not, but surprisingly, she saw his eyes were blank and expressionless, making her eyebrows squint.
'That's strange. How come I can't read his eyes, Xara?' Xenia asked her wolf, who replied, 'Maybe he's telling the truth. He isn't looking harmful by now, but we can't trust anyone. Your Ava caused enough drama, and now I don't want more.'
Xenia decided to ignore it, and they both talked for a while about how Xenia got her wolf. She didn't say anything in detail, but as he had a major hand in getting her Wolf, she was thankful for that.
