Question: Imagine you have been away from home for a long time. Describe what you see and your thoughts and feelings during your journey.
The weather is clear with a mild sunny sky. Along side the mild sky is a gust of welcoming breeze. As I peered out the windows, gentle wind caresses my face as if to welcome me back to the sleepy village that I've long left.
On board the primitive and screechy train, the harsh rumble of the engine became the default center of attention causing much annoyance to the cabin dwellers.
I, for one, am not disturbed by the screech or the rumble. I'm used to this piece of ancient technology.
Houses, tall buildings, grass field seemed like they are walking past by the train casually. Soon enough, the houses were replaced by thick green-leaved trees, telling me that we are getting closer to my destination.
As the train arrived, I took a brave step and flood of memories engulfed me. Every single minor, from the station master or the little vendor by the station, this place seems to not have changed over the course of years.
I dawdled around the main street and came to a surprising realization that despite the bustling of the city, the village is relatively unaffected and retained a mellow charm. A charm I have not experienced in a decade.
Streets opened itself up to me and trees were waving its branches as if to appreciate my grand return to the place I called home.
Passing by the peaceful shops, some shop owners waved at me with tears in their eyes, welcoming me back home after 10 years of me leaving the place.
Walking down a familiar road which I walked on when I left the village, reminded me of how I felt leaving home. Passing by a familiar field, memories of me playing with my friends rushed into my mind.
