“Tell me why the house is so empty.” Sookie said as we strolled down the road arm in arm. “Jaz called me about your worker wolves, but it doesn’t make sense to need so many for an empty house.”
The woman was quick. The packhouse had been empty aside from myself and Sloan for months, much to the dismay of the pack.
“Maxwell, the former Alpha, told us he had issues with another Alpha attacking the border. About three days after Sloan was officially named Alpha and Maxwell handed over the pack, things got intense. We couldn’t make sense of it.
