life has never been ok for Daniel and his family,his dad always traveling and mum always besy with work,they have never been together as a family at all, everyone is always besy doing one thing or the other,his big sister is now married and she lives with her rich husband Richard in Australia, together with her two children,Mimi and Jerry.

Daniel walks to the kitchen and open the pot to fine noodles in it,he closed it and went to the fridge which is packed with food stuffs,he took juice and a glass cup, and went to the dining table.

Daniel house is big and well arrange and funished,his father is a Chinese Man why his mother is a Nigerian woman:his father has a company that produce clothes,while his mother own a bank, and is also a cheif.

it was said that it was his mother cooking that made her and father to meet, were she was to cook for a Chinese family, that came to visit Nigeria for the first time.

that were,his dad met and fall in love with her.

To Daniel,his mom and dad are not they,st Thomas acedemy belongs to his mother, who has build it when she and dad got married,at they're first two years together.

Hi Daniel, when did you come home? nany B asked:nany B,has been their, family nany for years, she has been the one who takes care of him and his siblings, right from China and even here in Nigeria, she is both a mother and father to them.

I just got home,he said and continue, drinking his juice, will you like me to cook anything for you,nany B asked.

no,I don't feel like eating now, Daniel reply, standing up and went to his room.

my dear are you ok?nany B asked him,he didn't say a word and continue walking upstairs.

**Daniel sat on his bed, walching TV, when his phone rang.it was his big sister Vanessa.

Daniel:hi Nessa how are you doing and everyone.

Vanessa:am fine, how is everyone doing over there.

Daniel: everyone is doing well.

Vanessa:i was thinking that you come over this holiday season.

Daniel: that will be good,I really need to live this place.

Vanessa: are you living the place alone or it mom.

Daniel: let not talk about them, thanks for calling,I feel good now,I will let mom know and get my Visa ready.

Vanessa:ok, greet everyone for me and take care of yourself ok

Daniel:ok I'll, greet yours too.

Daniel end the call.He check the time it was 7:00pm and it Friday, the day has been s besy one,he look at his reading table and saw that it was properly arrange,he walk to it and sat on the chair, and did his assignments.

Daniel finished around 10pm, when he was done,he when down stairs and saw that no one was there and his food was already served,he sat down and start eating,he was so hungry and besy that he didn't know when his mother came in.

how was your day today?his mother asked.

Daniel turn and look at her, then continue eating.

will you not even greet me dear, she said, taking a chair beside him to sit down, she pure herself some juice.

good evening mom, Daniel , greeted her.

how was school today? she asked.

it was fine and how was your work, today? Daniel asked.

it was good, she answered.

Vanessa called today, and she sent her greetings, she also said I can come visit them this holiday season.

Mrs Lucy,look at her son,so are you going to go? she asked, even when she knows the answer to the question.

Daniel turn and face his mother, yes i will go, besides there's nothing to do here,in this country, other than stay home and school stuff, not as if you are available, when we need you.

Mrs Lucy, kept quiet and Daniel finished his food and left, for his room, good night Mom,am going to bed.

can you site for a while? she asked,but Daniel did not say a word,he went to his room and lock the door.

*Mrs Lucy, called Daniel father, they talk for a while and she sat, down and wonder were she has gone wrong as a mother to her children.

Mrs Lucy, stayed for a while, before going to bed.
