Ax Hammer

Eight hours later, the group of amigos were in Antarctica.
“Holy crap! It’s so damn cold!! I WANT ANOTHER PARKA!” Alex grew louder and louder with every comment.
“Shut your trap Alex before I SHUT IT FOR YOU!” Dallas was very irritable after the long flight to Antarctica.
Alexis closed her mouth and put on a pouty face. “But I like to complain......”
“Not around me you don’t” Dallas stalked up to Alexis
“Let’s just get to the base WITHOUT killing each other, okay?” Captain said. “Nick and Tony should meet us there.”
The group of eight began the mile trek from the airport, and, to everyone’s surprise, Alex didn’t complain once. They walked through the door to the base, and Alex said calmly and quietly “My nose is cold.”
“Really! We walk through the door and THEN you notice your nose is cold!” Dallas was cold as well, and not in the mood. Thor smiled and hugged Dallas to warm her up.
“Hey, what took you guys so long?” Nick entered the front room laughing.
“Thor and I could’ve flown but we didn’t want to leave the group to walk by themselves.” Dallas snapped at her.
“Well sorry Ms. grumpy gills” Nick put her hands up in surrender.
Tony smirked “Can everyone just get along so we can get out of here please! Now if you would follow Nick and I to the project location.”
“How far do we have to walk THIS time?” Dallas complained.
“5 minutes, so calm down it won’t take long.” Tony walked out the door.
“Oh and Nick has to walk with you guys because her suit froze.”
“Nick! How could you be so stupid!” Alex laughed at Nick
“Shut up Alex.” Nick grumbled
“Well maybe you should have been paying attention.” Dallas, even in her sour mood, was cracking jokes.
“Let’s just go....” Nick walked out the door.
“Letsa go!” Alex mimicked Mario
On the way there Alex was attempting to skip through the snow she kept falling and eventually took Steve’s shield, sat down and said “STEVE!! push me!
Steve laughed and Banner said. “Why don’t you walk like a big girl?”
Alex stood up and started walking again mumbling under her breath. “Stupid Bruce, ruins all my fun...” She then tripped and face planted into the snow.
“Hey guys! I found something!” She started t clear away the snow. Holy s**t!!!!” She screamed.
“What is the snow cold?” Thor made a remark.
"Yea but that's not the point. I thought you'd like to know I found a DEAD FREAKING BODY!!!” Alex flipped out
“Wait What??” Nick screamed and ran towards Alex.
“HEY LOOK SHINY!!!!” Alex pulled something out of the corpse's hand.
“FINDERS KEEPERS GUYS!!!” She waved it around like it was birthday money.
“Stop that! That is a very dangerous weapon. If it hits the ground, the world will explode. Please do not drop it!” Thor was very nervous.
“And just what is this powerful weapon?” Lily asked.
“It looks like a regular old shiny ax...” Alex stared at the weapon in her hand like it was a cupcake. “It’s so shiny...”
“Alex please put the Ax Hammer down.” Thor was motioning with his hands.
“I ain’t no damn dog.” she said as she handed the Ax to Steve.
Steve in turn handed the Hammer to Thor and said “What is it for?”
“It’s a weapon that was hidden so that no one would ever find it, This Ax Hammer can bring about Ragnarok. Or in Mid Guardian terms the end of the world.”
“Well it was supposed to be where no Asgardian could find it, but Alex isn’t from Asgard she’s a science experiment like Steve, No offence guys....” Thor looked apologetic.
“None taken.” Steve smiled.
“Well there’s a little offence.” Alex muttered.
“This. Is. Mine.” Dallas grabbed the Ax hammer and admired it.
“Dang, this is BAD ASS!!” She stared at it as if it were her own child.
“That is not yours it must remain hidden so it can not be used.” This was the only time Thor would ever think about defying Dallas.
“Look, you have your hammer, Tony and Nick have their suits, Lily and Nat have their Ninja skills, Hawk has his bow, Steve and Alex have the shield they fight over and Banner.. well Banner has that whole other guy thing going on, so I deserve a weapon of my own don’t you think?” Dallas was pacing, and almost screaming at Thor.
“I know you deserve one but.”
“No but’s the only butt here is mine, and you’ll be kissing it when I tell you this hammer is mine.” She turned around and stalks off to the project site.
“Jeez why couldn’t you just let her have the freaking hammer. It’s not like you’re giving the hammer to me. I’d drop it almost instantaneously” Alex put her hands on her hips
“Oh my lord...” Nick’s mouth dropped.
“What?” Everyone stared at Nick
“You used that word correctly in a sentence, I’m so proud of you!” Nick patted Alex on the head.
“Get your damn hands off me.” She slapped Nicks arms away.
“Let’s just get to the project site. Tony’s probably thinking we froze to death.” Clint marched ahead of the group.
“What’s got his knickers in a twist?” Captain said
“He’s just crabby because I told him he shouldn’t bring his new bow with us to Antarctica.” Nat laughed at him.
“I am not crabby! I simply do not like going anywhere without a bow. You never know what can sneak up on you in the wild.” He turned around and came back.
“Yeah, guys be on the lookout for murder penguins! Their cute until you deny them of their fish, then they get feisty!” Banner laughed at Clint.
“Shut up all of you, I just feel naked without my bow.” He grumbled as we all started walking again.
When we finally got to the project site. Dallas was already there and trying to help Stark with the repair.
“Thank god you’re here, I don’t understand this and I’m about ready to cut a hoe.” she walked over to us.
“What took you so long?” Tony was staring at Nick
“We got distracted when I found a dead body and then something really shiny and this happened and that happened and now we’re here and that’s my story of how I found Dallas’s new shiny Ax Hammer.” Alex hummed with excitement.
“Oookay, What a lovely story Alex, go ahead and grab a cookie from that tray over there, sit down, eat it, and don’t touch anything.” Tony pointed to a tray and gave her a push towards it.
“Yay! Cookies!” She ran to the tray and sat down nibbling on a cookie.
“She’s so cute when she acts like that.” Steve sighed at Alexis.
“Steve. Go sit with Alex. You need to warm up, your lips are turning blue.” Tony gestured to Alex who moved by a space heater.
“Now, Nick I need you to come here so we can fix this thing and get out of here before we have another Capsicle and a newly formed Ms. Capsicle.” Tony pulled Nick towards the generator.
“Now what we have here is a space old dinosaur.” He opened the door and sparks fly.
“Okay let’s not touch that.” Nick closes the door.
“But we have to touch it, this is why we’re here.” Tony looked at her.
“Oh right. Hey Dallas?” Nick used her singsong voice.
“Hey what?” she sang back.
“Wanna touch a sparky thingy?” Nick asked.
“Yes! I wonder what would happen if I hit it with the ax hammer?” Dallas was poised to strike.
“NO!” Thor grabbed the hammer.
“Just seeing if you were paying attention.” She smirked at Thor.
“Okay let’s see this here.” Nick slowly reopened the door. No sparks came out this time so she went to work.
“Tony, can you help me with this? I don’t have enough arms.” Nick was waist deep into the machine.
“How can I be of assistance.” He walked over.
“I need you to reach in here and grab that white wire and pull it towards me.” Her voice was muffled.
“Yes dear” Tony had a white wire in his hand.
“Can you hand me that wire?” She sounded a little miffed.
“Yes dear.” he moved forward and handed her the wire.
“You are not helping DEAR.” Nick said through gritted teeth. “Wait, I think I got it.” Nick grunted and backed out of the little door.
“You’re right Tony, that was a dinosaur but I think I got it up and running. Now flip that switch and pray it doesn’t explode.” She crossed her fingers.
“Well that sounds promising.” Banner backed up and clasped his hands.
“Here it goes.” Tony shut his eyes and flipped the switch.
The lights and heaters turned on and everyone cheered.
“Thank you so much for fixing that for us Mr. Stark.” One of the base members came up and thanked Tony.
“Well considering I fixed it for you and not him you’re welcome.” Nick coughed and patted the guy on his shoulder.
“Well thank you Miss for fixing it, we appreciate it so very much.’ He looked at Nick.
“Great now that that’s done let’s go home.”
“You know what, why don’t we go to some other country? On a vacation get away from all the drama.” Dallas recommended.
Alex screeched jumping up and down “YAY! airplane airplane airplane! Let’s go to the England.”
Nick looked at Alex shaking her head “Why the England?”
“Because why not” Alex got sassy and in Nick’s face.
“yeah, Why not, Let’s go.” Steve tried to corral Alex.
“Vacation would be nice, if we can find a peaceful place to go.” Bruce muttered the last
part.
“What do ya’ll say?” Alex asked.
“I say go for it.” Tony looked at Nick.
“Sure, as long as Alex agrees it’s England, not the England.” Nick pointed her finger in
Alex’s face.
“Fine, Now lets GO!!” Alex started pulling on Steve’s arm.
“Alex, don’t pull off Cap’s arm, he’s going to need that.” Dallas warned.
“But what if I need an extra arm?” Alex pouted.
“Then take one off of someone who’s not in love with you.” Nick pulled Alex away.
“So... no more limb ripping, and let’s decided on where we are going on vacation.” Nat commented.
“Well, Alex suggested England, I can only assume she meant London, anyone else have any ideas?” Clint moved next to Nat.
“Let’s go to Germany!” Tony whipped out his phone and called the airlines.
“We leave for Berlin as soon as we get back to America.” Tony walked out the door into the frigid tundra.
“Well then, I assume he want us to follow him, so let’s go.” Nick went after Tony.
“I don’t wanna go back into the cold.” Alex grumbled.
“C’mon Alex, It’s not that bad.” Steve pulled Alex’s hood up and took her to the door.
