The machine holding Alexis slowly opened, and everyone held their breath. Alexis stood, and looked at everyone. “What are you all staring at?” she asked.
“Did you even get injected?” Dallas asked.
“YES! I have the needle pricks to prove it! Why, did something go wrong?”
“How do you feel?” Nick questioned.
“Exactly the same.”
Nick jumped up and down, elated. “IT WORKED!”
"Dude you're so freaking tall!!" Dallas shouted
Alexis got really excited "Am I really?"
Dallas smiled "No you look the same.”
Alex frowned “That’s not funny! Oh, well I kinda like being short anyway.”
Tony rolled his eyes "Anyway its time for you ladies to get prepared for the undercover mission. Dallas you and Lily will split away from Nick and Alex."
Alex frowned "But I wanted to go with Dallas."
Captain laughed "Stop your complaining and just go with it."
"Fine I will just this one time. But first I want to see if I can beat up Dallas." Alex grinned, and everyone laugh at her. "What I'm serious!"
"Okay take your best shot" Dallas smiled like a little school girl as Alex ran towards her. Alex ran into her but she didn't budge not even a little.
Nick shot Tony a hurt look. “But it’s not fair. They have two ninjas! All we are is technology!”
“HEY!” Alex yelled.
“Alex, you know it’s true! If it weren’t for me you and your wimpy ass would be sitting in the corner drinking coffee.”
Steve turned to the two girls. “I thought we agreed to not bicker. We don’t want Bruce over there to go bat s**t crazy... again.”
Bruce glared at Steve, and then began to try to calm down. Dallas looked hurt. “Indeed. That’s bull-s**t I had to stop.”
“Anyway, back on topic, again,” Tony continued. “You four will split up, and out-flank the BBG. We, the Avenger’s I mean, will charge at the front. If everything goes as planned, we will wipe them out.”
“Move in.”
The six avengers began to move quietly into the building, well at least five of them. Hulk was doing his best, but was smashing everything out of habit. “Hulk,” Steve said. “You should wait here. When we yell for you, you smash.”
Hulk smiled, and nodded his giant green head. “Tony,” Steve continued. “You need to stay behind with Hulk.”
Tony was appalled. “What do you mean, stay behind?”
“You aren’t the most stealthy person in the world Mr.’Back in Black’.” Hawkeye retorted.
“Fine. But don’t expect me to babysit too often.” Tony said, angrily.
The four moved through the building, as quiet as possible. Thor and Steve brought up the rear, following Black Widow. Hawkeye broke off from the main group, and crawled into an air vent. Thor looked at Steve questioningly, and Steve mouthed “Just go with it.”
The group moved through the building, and into the main storage area. Large crates were scattered around the room, and there seemed to be no organization to it. Steve looked up, and saw Hawkeye in the rafters. Hawkeye nodded, and signaled across the room. Three of the four girls were on the other side of the room, ready for the attack. Nick, however, wasn't with them. Steve went to his communicator, and said “Dallas, where did Nick go?”
“She’ll be here in a minute. Where’s Tony?”
“They’ll be here when we need them.”
“Well call them in ‘cuz theyre is gonna be a party BITCHES!” Nick yelled through the com-link.
A flash of light zoomed through the room, and hovered over it. A hundred men followed her, yelling and shooting at her. “Alright. Tony, you and Hulk might need to get in here.”
“It’s time.” Dallas said while smiling. “Here comes the party.”
An all out battle commenced. Thor and Dallas would throw his hammer back and forth, hitting enemies left and right. Bullets were flying and people were dropping like flies. Hawkeye, from the rafters, shot every bad guy in his sights. Nick would, occasionally, pluck arrows out of people and fly them up to him so he could reload. When Nick wasn’t helping Hawk her and Tony were shooting beams of energy at people. Hulk was, well, smashing. After a while, Alex stole the shield from Captain, screamed “MINE!” and ran off throwing it at people. Captain shook his head, smiling, and resorted to hand to hand combat.
Twenty minutes later, the battle was over. Men and women lay dead, sprawled all over the place. Blood pooled around their dying wounds, and ran all over the floor. Nick landed, and took off her helmet. “Yeah! What a RUSH!” she exclaimed.
“Killing people isn’t a rush you weirdo.” Alex said.
“Yes it is.” Dallas retorted, simply.
Thor nodded at everyone, “You all fought valiantly. If I had to choose between my friends on Asgard and you, I would choose them, but not because you are bad. Mostly because I trust them more.”
Dallas glared at Thor. He smiled sheepishly. “d**k move man, d**k move.” Alex commented, before asking. “Where did Steve go?”
“STEVE!” Dallas yelled.
A quiet voice sounded from on top of a crate. “He’s over here.”
Everyone looked up to find Lily standing there, pointing behind the crate she was standing on. Alex went to investigate first, and yelled, “It’s okay, he’s not dead!”
The group, headed by Dallas, walked around the corner to find six men tied up. They appeared to be captives to Captain. The six gentlemen took one look at Dallas, and began cowering behind one another. They began whispering, and shooting looks at Dallas. Nick looked at Alex with a “What are they saying” expression, and Alex shrugged. Nick transferred that look to Dallas, who looked just as confused. Alex leaned closer to the whispering men, and looked at Nick. She then pointed at Dallas. Dallas saw the exchange, and marched right up to one of the guys, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and lifted him off the ground. “Why the f**k are you and your friends talking about me! I really could kill each and every one of you without a second glance, and you have the nerve to talk about me!”
Nick moved to try to calm Dallas down, but was stopped by Thor and Tony. “She is pissed, they are the bad guys. Let her express some anger,” Thor said to a struggling Nick.
“She’s my best friend! I don’t want her doing something she’ll regret later!” Nick shouted.
“These men were going to kill Alex while her back was turned.” Captain said. “I captured them before they got the chance.”
“Oh. Carry on.” Nick said, shrugging.
“THEY WERE GONNA WHAT!” Alex grabbed another man by the collar just as Dallas did. “Y'all better tell the nice lady what’s going on or you’re gonna GET IT!”
They all looked at each other and whispered “Do you really think it is her? Is she Valhalla?”
Dallas looked at them confused and growled “I am Dallas mother f*****g Kinnick not this Valhalla person you’re talking about.”
Alex having a mini meltdown screamed “Will someone explain to me what the HELL is going on....”
The captives looked at each other, and appeared scared. They eyeballed each other, seeming to argue over who would talk. They chose the lucky candidate, and he spoke to the group of Avengers. “We were hired by a man named Laufey. He told us to get you here so he could send others. We just tried to do what he said, he was at least eight foot tall.”
A shocked look came over Thor’s face. “It’s the frost giants.”
“WHAT?!” Hawkeye exclaimed. “Them again?!”
“Weren’t they the problem last time?” Nick asked.
“Yes, and that’s why they are so dangerous now. They know how to beat us, and they will use that knowledge to their advantage,” Thor stated.
“They aren’t alone this time. They have the aid of someone more powerful than Loki,” the speaker said again. “We don’t know who it is, but we were warned not to disappoint. All we know fully is who you are,” he continued, looking at Dallas.
“So the BD isn’t behind the explosion at my place?” Tony asked.
“No, that was a trick to get the three girls out here”
Dallas dropped the guy she was holding, and he began to tell her story.
“You are the daughter of Freya, queen of the Valkyries. Your name is Valhalla, named after your true home. At your birth, you were attacked and your mother sent you to Midgard to keep you safe, but you were followed. The creatures that followed you are called frost giants, as you know they can be very dangerous. They’ve been around you all your life, you just didn’t realize it.
“How could I not realize it?” Dallas looked at him like he was an i***t.
“Yeah, Aren’t frost giants like 100 feet tall?” Nick asked
“You didn’t realize it because they were in disguise, but an obvious disguise.” The guy continued.
“How obvious, like wearing fake glasses or Perry the Platypus disguised as a dog obvious?” Alex asked
“No, like 6 foot tall, really pale, buffer than Thor but not as much as Hulk, long scraggly beards and Celtic looking walking sticks,” he explained.
“Wait, you mean like my dad?” Dallas was puzzled.
Thor stepped away from Dallas. “You were raised by a frost giant?”
“Awkward.” Nick said.
“I didn’t know what he was!” Dallas glared at Thor
“It’s true she couldn’t have known.” Captain gave Thor a look.
“Look, how do you all know this is about me anyway?” Dallas got frustrated
“How do we even know that I’m the one? There isn’t any proof is there?”
“As a child of Asgard, you let out a magic aura much stronger than any mortals. This aura is often used by your enemies to find you and others like you.” One of the captives explained.
Dallas cut straight to the point “So you guys were stalking me.”
“Yes and no. We wouldn’t be here unless we were told to. As we mentioned earlier we were hired by Laufey, he told us we were to find you and bring you back with us.” He continued.
“Take her where?” Alex asked
“Back to Jotunheim.”
“Where the f**k is that?” Nick was confused
“In a different realm.”
“And which realm would that be?” Tony looked at the captives.
“The realm of Jotunheim. It exists on another plane of existence than this one. You can’t find it on a map or a star chart Mr. Science, so stop asking where it is. It is where it is and you will need magic to get there, so take a backseat for once and cool your ego.”
“Well then....” Tony grumbled.
“Tony got served” Lily smiled.
“With ice cream and a spoon!” Alex piggybacked off of Lily and they high-fived each other.
Tony fumed and said “Shut up Lily, and Alex you’re stupid.”
Captain tried to get the conversation back on track “Alright Tony leave Alex alone.”
Suddenly, Tony’s phone rang. “Hello. Yes. I understand. They are doing what? Alright, yes. I’ll be there in a couple hours, in the meantime, shut off all the equipment and wait it out inside. I’ll be sure to travel fast.” Tony frowned. “I have to go to Antarctica to fix some equipment. You guys want to come with me?”
“But isn’t it cold in Antarctica?” Alex questioned.
Nick scoffed. “Thank you, Captain obvious. I’m sure there will be parkas and such.”
“YAY WARM CLOTHES!” Alex yelled.
“Wait, what are we going to do with these guys?” Nat asked.
“I suppose we should try to get some more info out of them.” Dallas cracked her knuckles.
“Please, we’ve told you everything we know, except for Laufey wanted the two others as well, Alex and Nick, for reasons we don’t know. Please let us go and you’ll never see us again!” The man begged.
“Fine, Release them, If we ever see you again. I will chop off your balls and make you eat them. In front of your mother.” Dallas spat at him.
