3 months later
“Peggy, There’s someone here to see you.” The nurse walked Alex into Peggy Carter’s room.
“Hi, Peggy.” Alex pulled a chair up to the bed.
“Do I know you?” She turned her head to me.
“No, but I know so much about you.” Alex smiled at her.
“How?”
“You know Captain Rogers?” Alex looked at her.
“Steve?” She struggled to sit up.
“Yes, he and I have gotten very close, he talked about you all the time, about how sweet you were to him.” Alex explained. “I was just wondering, my father told me I am related to a woman named Peggy and that she served in WWII. Every older female relative I have on my father’s side served. I wanted to know if that may have been you, I’ve never met any of my other relatives.”
“What were your parents' names?” She asked.
“Ashley and Steven Marobella.” Alex answered.
“My Grandson Steven finally found someone who makes him happy.” Peggy started to tear up.
“Wait, so you Are my great grandmother?” Alex looked at her.
“I am indeed my little one.” Peggy grabbed her hand.
“I guess the attraction to Captain Rogers runs in the family huh.” Alex smiled and hugged her grandmother.
“I guess it does dear, Please tell him that Peggy’s still waiting on that dance okay?” She smiled and drifted off to sleep.
“Anything.” Alex kissed her grandma’s forehead and left the room smiling.
“You learn what you need to sugar?” A nurse at the front desk asked.
“Yes Ma’am, thank you” Alex nodded and headed to her training session. Her grandmother had suggested she train with these men to get her ready for anything the enemies of the Avengers can dish out.
Hey Alexis, I hope you are alright. I miss you and I wanted to know if you are well? Just one word will help calm my nerves about you not being here. I know I need to learn how to properly text but maybe if you come back you can teach me. ~Steve
I’m fine, but I’m not coming back. I’ve told Dallas that. I’ll come back when I’m done training.
“You can do this, you aren’t that helpless.” Alex said to herself, taking a water break during her training session..
Hey Alex, it’s sooo boring without you here. Can I run away with you? Please?
Alex laughed at Lily’s text, but didn’t respond.
Bitch if you don’t respond I’ll kill you. Me, Steve and Nick want to find you, just us that way we can get one on one combat training without the interference of other people. If you say no, just remember we will track you down.
Dallas, I’m not sure.
You have two options, tell us where you are and the three of us will come to you or don’t tell us and we find you anyway.
Do you promise not to tell anyone else? Alex bit her lip.
I’m deleting every text I receive from you as soon as Nick has read it. No one will know. I’ll make Steve promise.
OK.
Dallas looked at the last text she got. “NICK GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE NOW!” Dallas yelled at Nick who was in the bathroom.
“WHAT!” Nick burst out of the bathroom.
“It’s Alex, she’s about to tell me where she is.” Dallas looked at her phone hopefully.
I’m back in New York. don’t tell ANYONE! Please!
“Gotcha b***h!” Dallas smirked.
“So are we going?” Nick asked.
“Yes but not right now, they know we’ve been talking to her so we have to wait a bit.” Dallas strategized.
“Okay.” Nick said.
“Where’s Steve?” Dallas looked around.
“On the porch, pining for his second lost love” Nick fake swooned.
“Second?” Dallas stood up.
“Yeah, did you forget about Peggy?” Nick asked.
“s**t yeah, that happened.” Dallas went out on the Balcony with Steve.
“Hey, we found her.” Dallas approached Steve with caution.
“Really” Steve did a quick 180 to look at Dallas.
“Yeah, she’s in New York. We were going to head out tomorrow to avoid suspicion from everyone else.” Dallas explained.
“Ok, I’ll go pack now!” Steve looked like a kid at Christmas.
“God I hope she stays there.” Dallas sighed “For Steve’s sake.”
“Now we can’t let anyone know we’re leaving California.” Nick whispered to Dallas and Steve.
They were staying in California while training Dallas and Nick.
“I can’t believe she went back to New York.” Dallas sighed.
“She’s probably staying at my place, she has a key.” Steve chimed in.
“Well first we need to get out of here.” Nick whisper yelled. “Our flight leaves in 2 hours, we are flying middle class to Chicago then getting on a private jet to New York.
“So how are we getting out with these suitcases?”Dallas asked.
“Easy.” Nick went to the porch and put the suitcases on the ground, considering they were on the ground floor.
“Duh.” Dallas facepalmed.
“Now I suggest we all go out together like we are going to get some shopping done and we won’t let Steve stay here and mope.” Nick strategized.
“Great plan!” Steve beamed.
“Okay, now don’t look suspicious.” Dallas laughed as she walked into the lobby of the hotel they were staying at.
“Hey, Nick and I were going to go get some stuff quick and Steve needs to get out so we are making him tag along.” Dallas said.
“K cool, don’t be gone too long, we leave for Orlando in the morning.” Tony reminded them.
“Florida, I’m so excited!” NIck did a pretend happy dance.
“Make good choices!” Nat yelled as they walked out.
“Trust us Nat, this is the best choice we could ever make.” Nick said under her breath.
