Chapter 21: The Confrontation

Ling stood tall, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she had to be careful, but she was determined to confront Ryker about his true intentions.

"You're not who I thought you were," Ling said, her voice firm. "You're using us for your own gain."

Eryndor's eyes narrowed. "What makes you think that?" he asked.

Ling showed him the journal she had found, and Eryndor's expression turned grave. "We need to be careful," he said. "If Ryker is indeed working against us, we don't know what he's capable of."
