Chapter 4 Despite my haste, I paused just out of sight and listened until the murmur of voices ceased and two car doors slammed shut. Sure enough, Harmony had accepted Sebastien’s offer of assistance, her throaty voice reciting a street address that I quickly keyed into my own phone...just in case. Then my human companions were gone and I was left to chart a course through the unfamiliar neighborhood by myself. And even though the mapping software on my phone would have come in handy to ensure I made no wrong turns on the way to my intended destination, my gut told me I’d be better off taking this trek unencumbered.
