Chapter 2The burger wrapper crinkled as Cam spread it out on his beat-up, second-hand coffee table in his cramped living room. His place wasn’t fancy—if you ignored the not-his-idea bathroom—just a one-bedroom cabin on an acre. He loved it. Pines provided a windbreak, and he didn’t have any neighbors. Hatch could run to his heart content and deer and elk often wandered through while he stood at his sink nursing a coffee in the morning.
