Ace's tensed voice called me. Tears welled up in my eyes, and with blurry eyes I stepped inside. Lucas' face was embedded with mix shock and exasperation.
I can't seem to process what I just heard. Selfishness, risks, work… Those words rang inside my head like a bell. I needed more. It seems like trying to say you've known a person even though that person is a complete stranger.
"What did you say, Lucas?" I asked.
Ace stood up. I know he's coming into my direction so before he could even do that I stopped him.
"Don't come near me." I gritted my teeth.
His steps halted when I said that. I can see how his eyes glitched in fear as soon as he stared at me. Mad. Furiously mad. That's what I'm feeling as of the moment.
"Is that true Lucas? All of it?" I confirmed
