I watched Cassian as he received a call, my legs on his lap. He was massaging them. We were out in the garden talking when the call came in.
This was the closest we had ever been, and as I read the book in my hands, I couldn’t help but smile as well.
Cassian tickled my feet, which earned a giggle from me as I glared at him. He avoided my eyes, continuing on his call as he held back a smile. This was perfect. Everything was perfect.
