I blinked to make sure I had seen right. “Is something the matter?” Cassian’s voice drew me out of my thoughts. “N..No.” I simply said, giving him a small smile. Maybe I was seeing things. “I’m going to bed now, good night.” “Goodnight.” After a few days of resting, I was finally ready to go back to work. The new maids had already resumed, but I was still anticipating Rose’s return. I looked at myself one more time in the mirror, and I was good to go. When I got downstairs, new maids were already working. “Good morning, ma’am.” One greeted me before continuing what she was doing. Well, these certainly seemed more polite. I sat at the dining table, ready to have breakfast, when Cassian walked in. “Good morning.” I greeted cheeringly. “Good morning.” He responded, taking a seat.
