Marco would take Laura to stay at a hotel, and in the morning they would stop by Estefano's house to welcome Rayra. Laura wanted to buy a gift for Helena. Marco hoped that seeing the child might make his wife decide to get pregnant. He couldn't wait to see her carrying his son or daughter.
They slept in a five-star hotel; his wife deserved it after everything. Laura lay on his chest and fell asleep. No woman had ever rested on him like that; some had tried, but it was terribly uncomfortable having someone clinging to him. But the enchantress was his wife. He loved feeling her sprawled like that.
In the morning, they stopped at a flower shop, and Laura made him buy flowers for Helena.
"If I give flowers to Estefano's wife, he'll probably want my head."
Laura gave him a disapproving look
