Marco had left his son with his godfather, Pedro to spend some time with his wife and discuss the plans to spend a few days away from the ranch. In fact, he had no choice, but he knew Laura was spirited and wouldn't like the idea. She liked Henrique's wife, but spending too much time away from home wouldn't please her. And Henrique wasn't hospitable at all.
Laura was in the kitchen with Berta eating a dessert. Marco was still taken by her beauty.
Laura noticed his presence and looked at him.
"When you're done, I need to talk to you. I'll wait for you in the office."
"Did something happen?"
"No. At least not yet, and that's what I want to avoid."
Laura noticed the tension in her husband's voice.
"Where's Ed?"
"With the godfather, safe and sound."
