Laura left Zeus on the bed placed under the stairs for him. She ordered the dog to stay there. Zeus obeyed with reluctance in his eyes and lowered both ears. Laura felt pity for her loyal companion, but he and Marco were not best friends. She climbed the stairs, but Marco grabbed her from behind.
