“Your son?!” she echoed, disbelief written across her face.
Panic set in. Why was their relationship revolving around children? Nikolai didn’t understand why Jenny couldn’t appreciate what they had without planting new expectations.
“Let’s go back, Nikolai. Now, to my father’s Pack,” she demanded, crossing her arms defiantly.
“Wait, what? You’re serious?”
Nikolai attempted to coax her back into a lighter mood, suggesting they go shopping and have fun in France. But she stubbornly refused. He knew he had to give in to her feelings, so they made their way back to her father’s Pack instead.
