“I’m good, but I need to tell you something, and I need you to listen,” she replied, urgency etched into her words.
“Of course, I’ll listen,” he promised, his heart racing in anticipation.
“Juliette is awake, and she felt the presence of her second-chance mate.” Her declaration made his heart swell; he couldn’t help but smile.
“That’s wonderful news,” he said, genuinely pleased.
