Chapter 2

1406 Words
As Inspector Franco drove his black van through New York City's streets, Ace Denver was beside him, while Flora Sinclaire, Jonathan Mayers, Marcus Vazquez, and Sky Miller were resting behind him. Flora Sinclaire was busy typing on her laptop to track their targets. A smirk gradually formed on her lips. "Okay, boys. We have found the target. Let’s go to Club Red and smash their faces," she uttered enthusiastically. This woman doesn’t seem to fear the possibility of dying in the future. "I’d rather die than disappoint myself by not catching those criminals. They have ruined the lives of many teenagers because of their drugs," she added, and suppressed the tears that were gently forming around her eyeballs. Jonathan Mayers, who was sitting beside her, touched her shoulders while hoping that she would calm down. "Shhh, we’ll get our revenge, sister. Don’t cry. "We don't want to see you crying or else we'll cry," Jonathan trembled as tears streamed down his cheeks. Flora Sinclaire hasn’t cried yet, but he's already done it. Jonathan had always been sympathetic towards his colleague’s feelings. He knew what it felt like to be in pain. "Flor, if we get them, we’ll smash their faces for you," Marcus Vazquez pacified her by saying such threatening words. Franco stopped the car in the parking lot of Club Red. He stretched his arms and looked behind him. "We are here. Now, get out of my van and do your mission. I have to leave you guys for a bit as I have some privacy matters to face," Inspector Franco said calmly and left the van. The four boys followed him, leaving Flora inside. Sky was bothered about leaving her alone, but Marcus got his attention. Marcus smiled at the rookie boy and nodded his head. "Flora doesn’t like to fight, but she is a good tracker. Let’s leave her alone and rock ourselves inside the club. What do you think? Would that be cool?" Marcus invited the innocent and handsome lad. "Marcus, don’t mess up with Sky or you’ll mess up your paycheck. Remember, he is from FBI headquarters; he is far more equipped than us. Be careful with your words," Inspector Franco warned Marcus, who just chuckled with his eyes that seemed to be in fury. "Yes, boss," Marcus agreed, and he left Sky alone. "I have to go," the inspector left them. Sky Miller took his earpiece from the pocket of his jeans and placed it on his left ear. He headed inside without being suspicious of anyone. As he wandered his eyes around, looking for a place to cool down before an explosion, he felt a strong urge to leave and just go back to his home. He has an antisocial disorder and doesn’t want to be in crowded places. In the office, he was able to control his longing for the comfort of his home, but this time it became worse. He tightened his fists as the noise of the crowd and music banged in his ears. He wasn’t used to this. He closed his eyes and controlled himself not to burst. "The target is sitting on the second floor. You have to be quick, agent Sky. What are you doing at the entrance?" It was Flora’s voice in the earpiece. Her voice somehow woke him up from the torturous thoughts in his head. He fixed his suit and headed into the crowd. That flashed through his mind: work comes first, then his fear. He looked up above. A fat man with a big stomach was wearing a black shirt and a golden chain necklace. He was walking on the second floor while holding a large Channel bag. Sky knew it was his target based on his looks. The fat man was one of the scary mafias who had been running a secret organization for drugs and illegal things. Sky had to order a tequila before attempting to arrest his target. He sat in the chair, looking around like a hot thug. Women noticed his oozing s*x appeal. A woman in her sexy backless dress walked bounding towards him. She had that seducing smile that would kneel any man, but not for the innocent Sky. "Here’s your order, sir," the bartender uttered politely. Sky took the glass and reared up from his seat when suddenly two hands touched his stomach and massaged his abs. He was about to smash the person who held on to him, but he eventually calmed down after seeing the beautiful face of the woman. "Hey, hottie. I am Angel. It’s my pleasure to see a handsome and hot man like you. Wanna go for a dance with me?" The woman asked with a beautiful smile on her lips. Still, Sky refused to touch her. His hands were stuck on his glass. "Bro, you have to choose between a woman and your job, and if I am in your place, I’d rather choose that hot ass woman," Marcus’s voice resounded in his mind. He immediately moved away and shook his head. The woman was confused by his actions. She was unfortunately offended. "Oh no, you hurt her feelings, bro. You have to get out of there before she makes a scene," Marcus advised him. Sky had no words to say. He was delirious and speechless. How could he escape this kind of tricky situation? "I’m so-so sorry, I-I have a girlfriend." Sky was trembling and nervous just because of a woman he had just met. He instantly ran away and climbed the stairs, bounding to the second floor. He noticed his target who was sitting in the private lounge. In front of him was a woman with short hair and blue eyes. He knew that woman! She was the one who embarrassed him on the bus. His left eyebrow lifted and he focused himself on the crowd dancing on the dance floor. "Man, that was not awesome. We have an innocent partner," Marcus couldn’t stop talking, but he refrained from talking back. What would be the point of it? "Shut up, Marcus," Jonathan said. "Fine, I will stop." Marcus accepted his defeat. As Sky was watching them, the target abruptly grabbed his gun and pointed it at the woman. Sky had to act fast as he shot his Glock 17 gun at the ceiling. Everyone was panicking, attempting to save their lives by leaving the area. However, Marcus was already waiting for them to get arrested at the entrance. The crowd could not leave. "Don’t be frightened, my lovely ladies. We’re just simulating your panic disorders. Calm down and everything will be sorted out," Marcus advised them with a creepy smile on his face. Nobody could believe him, but he was holding a gun, which scared all of them to death. No one dared to move. Jonathan and Ace instantly ran to get the mafia arrested. Five thugs were arrested together with Mr. Sanmil, the mafia boss. Sky noticed the woman who was just sitting on the couch, not minding the happenings around them. She was the one who cursed him on the bus. This could be his perfect revenge. The woman took a cigarette from her pocket and lit it. He stared at her from head to toe. The woman was wearing a black blazer paired with a short skirt and black stockings. He grabbed her wrists and shackled them. The cigarette fell on the floor. Sky knew that she was killing him with the flames in her eyes. "What do you think you’re doing? Don’t you know me? I am superior to you! " The woman exclaimed in anger and frustration. She forcefully pushed him away. However, Sky was strong enough not to fall to the ground. With an emotionless face, Sky uttered. "Miss, I do not know you but I know that you committed an unlawful act," Sky said confidently. He then showed his FBI identification card to her. "This jerk!" She cursed and rolled her eyes. "Take my wallet out of my pocket and you will see who you are arresting." The woman was mad. Sky bowed his head as he was about to apologize, but Jonathan accidentally pushed him closer to her. His hands landed on her thighs and they fell on the red carpet. The woman was under him while his face was resting on her left thigh. The woman screamed in anger. "You p*****t! Get off me! "
